not that easy without a 3.5GHz athlon FX. sure the nature could be 400fps or so but Nvidia cards may be a few fps slower in the rest of the game tests vs. ati, especially in car high. I do agree we may see 20k in 2003 and 10k in 2005 but thats not fair when were comparing two of nvidias best vs. one of atis best

I disagree: 2001 is becoming very, very CPU limited, and without 2K1 optimizations NV is not a very strong performer in that benchmark anymore.

Yep. That's right... but this FW hint only applies to the FX and 6xxx cards IMO...

so with the latest drivers and fastwrites on, your saying the 6800s now score equally high in car high vs. 9800pro, x800s and any other fast gpu? The low car high issue that occured with earlier drivers has now been resolved?

Don't count on it, i've never seen a PiFast or SuperPi bench from Opp.

OPP is a 3D master......He is NOT interested in other benches as long as I know(not that he couldn't do it of course)........ ;)

This chip will not run with windows 2000 for anything, I don't know why.
Chip does solid 05 at 3546MHz.

are you saying its incompatable with win2k or just doesnt overclock as high? how high does it do under win2k? If it doesnt work under win2k, rma time :(

If my math is right, his ram is really running at 255MHz because 13.5 rounds to 14x for the ram. 3570 divide by 14 is really 255 for ram. half multis are when you wanna max out your cpu but you lose out on ram. I am gonna have to guess OPP cant get any real overclocks under win2k. No matter, 2k3 is almost as good as 2k and way better than winblows xp. Hes only 4fps behind ricky/pedro in car high, but has lower ram clocks though

This FX-55 only works OK with w2k if it's on air. When I freeze the chip I can't even install w2k, on the hand, win XP and server 2003 will install windows easy at 3200MHz stock voltage.
