oh, ok, that makes me feel a little better. I figured all ultras would be the same, guess I'm just used to ati, most of their cards are the same as I can remember.
I think I would be a little skeptical ar first, as well. It is almost too good to be true, right ? :)
But, this time there is no catch...

The guy has modified and created his own version of the bios's, and tested every other one out there.... you should really take a look. It's something like 14 pages.. but read through it and I bet you switch to his bios, and a GT one at that.

My GT card with my rev 2 edit BIOS at 1.1/1.4 went to 470/1140 and my Ultra to 510/1320 with the 1.1/1.5/1.5 edited BIOS. I have not put a GT BIOS on an Ultra, yet. I am sure you could get the mem clocks higher, since they are looser. Kinda like 2-2-2-5 DDR does not go as high as 2.5-3-3-7 DDR. The GT BIOS loosens the timings a bit. The LE uses the 1.6 ns GDDR3, so maybe it will help. Interesting link.
This thing looks awesome. going to try it out as soon as i find a floppy drive

I probably still have the 1.5 ultra on my computer at home if you want to take a look at it. I have all the revisions of all the bios he made lol. Some crazy ones in the begining of that thread.
I saw that newegg , doesnt even have those eVGAs in their site anymore.... so i think that this is gonna be the only time that we can order those cards.
Guys , can i flash myne card from USB FLASH CARD?
can you make the computer boot from the flash card? if so then yes.
uhm......how long does ZZF take to verify my card?
its taking awhile.......
Took them 4 days to verify mine, but they said that they don't do crap on the weekend. So... I dunno, no more than 2 days.
finally shipped today...ill have it tomorrow, but i have to reformatt ...
yes im sure theres some way with a driver cleaner, but its been almost 2months since the last reformatt and i have a lot of worthless crap on here
People, you do not need to flash in DOS. nvflash utility can be done from Windows.Quote:

I got my zip zoom fly cards today. both of them were 16 pipe. and clock just as good over 400+ amd 1200 mem.
I need to search around to see where to measure the volts on this card. The only reason i can see to even flash this card is to get more volts to the GPU unless it's all ready at the max of all the bios' out there.
I just got my card, and wow I'm impressed and I'm just running it at stock speeds. I completely killed my friend x800 pro in HL2 stress test with 6x/16x I was expecting to tie at best. I'll post all my results after I finish testing.
edit1: Hey, just realized, my memory came stock at 700mhz, now I'm worried. Anyone else have this happen? I can oc the core to 400mhz no prob. with the le bios, but at about 415mhz+ I don't artifact, it just freezes
edit2: I put my memory at 1.1ghz and I get crazy artifacts all over. Wtf is with this?! I'm dissapointed as crap, should I rma it? Zipzoomfly even lists it as 1100mhz stock.
edit3:It artifacts anything over 900mhz. This isn't even 2.0ns memory wtf, I'm really pissed off, just requested an rma from zipzoomfly.
im getting nervous...sorry about that kryptobs... ill be getting mine tomorrow :-D
ill skip school friday so i can have a 5 day weekend with this :) monday=teachers grading tuesday = schools being used for election
yeah, well hopefully I can rma it. Soo dissapointing, it was artifacting just a little bit at 800mhz :(. I have no idea what kind of crappy ram this is. I don't see why they wouldn't take it for rma. Any chance this could be fixed with a bios flash, or.... yeah, well I havn't even heard of anyone else getting their card at 700mhz memory, thats what newegg lists it as, but zipzoomfly and eve evga's own spec sheet lists it as 1100mhz. The 700mhz is severly crippling me I think too. Thats pretty dissapointing.
I tried flashing through windows with nvflash and it says 'this can only be used in dos'
I'll be able to play with mine next tuesday.
ZZF lists mine as packed, ready to ship as of this evening. Sadly I am going out of town tommorrow til Sunday night :(

zipzoomfly, they even list it as 1100mhz memory, had I gotten it from newegg I wouldn't feel so bad, but I felt that it was garenteed that I get 1100mhz on the memory.
I'm not really concerned with rmaing it, it's just really dissapointing, the card is great in every other way. It oc's past 400mhz with the le bios, the highest the temp has ever been is 51c. It barely ever goes over 48c load. I've only had it for a day, but I've ran alot of tests on it and everything, so I think thats pretty close. Coolest 6800 le I've seen. If I get at least a gt I'd be ok with that, but... I dunno :( Maybe if I rma it to evga I'd get an ultra back
What does the card look like? Does it have the dual white DVI connectors? It is supposed to spec at 325/1100 as a minimum. I would RMA that sucker id it does not. If you call right away, they usually waive the shipping charge. Also, if you provide a credit card, the will overnight you a card, then refund you the amount once they recieve the RMA card.Quote:

oh and sorry. It's specs are 325/700, as newegg had it listed. Which kinda worries me, maybe thats what it's supposed to ship at? But it does have dual dvi connectors, has the dual molex's, ultra pcb, ultra cooling everything. Box is the ultra box with limited edition stickers all over it. Same as everyone elses but it has like.. gddr1 or something
