try PM him insted :)
up!
i did all the ic7-max3 mods. all working great except the vtt mod. i cut the trace on the back of them mobo. soldered a 10ohm between and a vr 200ohm t ground. what´s wrong? ic could turn the vr all the way up and down no change of vtt
Since no one else is helping you.... VDD is supposed to be a 50K vr. set at max resistance and lowered for more VDD.Quote:

After the mod, i have powered on the mobo, but i have seen only back screen Now, i can't power on the mobo either from the case , but the first time that i have test the mobo, i could power on from the case...Why???? I've tested the voltage:
VDD: 1,3
VTT: 0,6
VDIMM: 0,8
I have rechecked all trimmers and they are ok!
Please, help me
I do vtt mod the catch22 way.Quote:

1K vr, set resistance to one of the outer legs to 200ohms. Take left pad (closest to windbond chip) to middle leg of VR. Take the leg you set to 200ohms to upper mosfet, lower leg. (this mosfet is up near the aux fan header) than take right pad of mc50 to the last leg of VR. do the trace cut, and you should be fine. Windows and bios will not reflect VTT value changes, you must measure it with dmm to know true value.

Trace probably wasn't fully cut. check resistance between left side of MC50 and right side of MC39.Quote:

I'll do it VERY SOON coz now I DO need it too..... :toast: ;)Quote:

Guys sorry for my big delays but I've moved my whole life from a town to another(my job too)....I'd like to thank all of you for the input and the help you give each other
too.... :toast: :toast: :toast:
I'll be with you when you need me from now and on.......Next week I'll be with you every day too(not big delays any more) :D
i have but one question for the master hipro, why do you speak in bold?
It's my "style" bold writing my friend.....All those years in forums I write in bold.....If you search for me here and there in different forums you'll see only bold writing by me...It's my style.....Quote:

mod guide is down :( put it back up please
how can i measure with mm if the vtt mod is done right with attached vr and fixed resistor?Quote:

Hi,
first of all excuse me for my bad english, i'm german :(
I have a question to this mod on IC7-G:
0. Set the Bios VDimm to 2,55.
1. I have to unsolder the SMD Resistor near R50 and replace it with a 10 Ohms SMD or regular restistor.
It can contact the resistor next to it, but it's no must. Right?
2. I have a trimmer of 200 Ohms like this: http://www.reichelt.de/bilder/web/B400/76_40.jpg (middle leg is ground?)
3. I have to solder the ground-leg of the trimmer to right point of MC147 near the 12V ATX "Slot".
4. I solder one leg of the trimmer to the left side of my 10Ohms resistor.
Somewhere i read, that it should be set to 0 Ohms, but between what? Between the ground and the replaced resistor?
With which settings do i get the maximum Vdimm (max of 3,3 Rail?) 0 Ohms?
EDIT:
I soldered the dimm mod on asus p4p800 and it worked, i think it's harder on the abit...
thanks
muggu
Set the trimmer to full clockwise = 0 ohms, then check resistance between MC50 and MC39. If it reads 0 ohms, then you are one step to know if it's right.Quote:

Give the trimmer a few turns counterclockwise (raising resistance) and check resistance between MC50 and MC39 again, it should read anything other than 0 ohms. If it's not, then the trace is not cut.
thx mate. will test this as soon as i dismount prommy (perhaps tomorrow)Quote:

BTW, just realized now that you have a fixed resistor there. So when the trimmer is set at 0ohms, the MM should read the value (ohms) of that fixed resistor...which I suppose is 10 ohms.:)
Hey nobody who can answer my questions?
1.You unsolder THE R50 resistor......and solder on it's place a 10Ohms oneQuote:

2.Yes.....
3.Yes........
4.Yes.....
You have t trimm it at maximum value(200Ohms) and then start playing around........IF you trimm it at 0Ohms and leave it there , your mobo will NOT boot at all.........
THANKS,
the master himself :sofa:
I'll do the mod next week!
ok i checked resistance. as u mentioned it shows 10 ohms. so i guess tracecut works, which is nothing new to me, cause i checked with mm if connection is cut or not during trace cutting. well my problem is now that the ohms dont change if i turn the vr. well no go tried soldering again and with different ground point (screw hole) but no go? any ideas? used a 200ohms vr for this one
You'll measure the Ohms at the point you soldered the cable to ground and not in parallel with the 10Ohms resistor.....You'll measure it at the higher point of the MC50 capasitor to ground.....Quote:

UPDATE INFO........... :D
5V rail Vmem DONE......... :D
That was SO easy............!!!!! :D
Now you don't have to mod your PSU's 3.3Volts rail ..........ONLY with one unsolder and one solder........I'm waiting for a friends of mine digicam so as to upload the pictures.........You can feed your Rams up to 4.9Volts...... :D
BUT beware not to :flame: your Rams....... :D
Holy     !!! :toast:
Luckyly I'll do the mod next week, so hurry up with your tutorial für the 5v rail :D
so how many volts have you pumped into your ram so far?
:hehe:
thanks m8
