I probably just had bad luck with my kit. A few others seem to as well.
Wasnt trying to take anything away from your thread, nice review! Was just a little disappointing they didnt clock better than some of the less expensive memory I have.

Dang it...I was still holding on to the hope that these sticks of yours would end up in the Classifieds and I'd at least have a shot at them.Quote:

Well, if you can convince him to let them go, more power to you.
I still have a 2400 Pi set that I'm never letting go (until DDR4 is all we use), so don't weep for me Argentina, I'm all set for strong benching RAM. :p:
I'm just glad I live within 2.5 hours of IMOG :)

I was talking about having a shot at them if you had put them up for sale, not IMOG. :)
BTW, is your 2400 kit PSC based?
All Pi kits are im pretty sure. that 2400 kit is amazing.
after the disappointing clocking 2400 8gb tridents, i was hoping that these 2666 kits would be good for 2800+ (i know my IMC is) but now im not so sure. :(
I have 1219AB40....on 8Gb F3-2400C10D-8GZH and was wondering what are they

samsung chips, are they single or double sided?
will this memory kit work with the rampage iv extreme board?
Work? Yes. Work at DDR3-2666? probably not. There are likely very few SNB-E CPUs with an IMC capable of running that kind of speed.
looks like it

super noob question i know, when you guys take off the heatspreaders, how are you putting them back on? thermal glue?
or are the sticks dead and you dont care?
you can reheat and if you are lucky they will stick. if not then usually just leave them off. That is what i do.
those ripjaw-z are single sided?
i wanted to open a set of hyperx here to check if they were bbse.
didnt even need to open them with my heatgun, they just snapped apart.
i guess here in melbourne, its probably cold enough that the glue got brittle too haha

Test air @2700 with 1.65V. So far so good.

Cpu cold, ram on air @ 2900

Curses I can't see those images right now. Looks pretty great so far. What voltage did you use for 2900? How are timings?
It was few first runs with 1.8V 2T air boot up @ 2933. After playing with M5F settings I can easily run 2800 1.65V with 11-13 1T which almost as smooth as 2800 C11 kit

Nice!
nice mate but u gamed or live it 24/7 as SPI32 aint sign of stability or maybe memtest ?
i have 2 sets of other mem and can also shoot even HYPERPI 32 at 2800 but not stable to game
would be nice if someone can post a 200% memtest 4 instances windows of 1500 each

I did use it gaming for a little while at that speed without issue and ran all of the benchmarks from our review. I do agree a SP32M run isn't enough to call it stable for sure, but it's a good starting point. If it finishes SP32M, it's either stable or just a voltage bump / small timing tweak away from being perfectly stable. :)
Unfortunately these sticks are with a friend right now. I'll try to remember to run that for you whenever they get back. Not sure when that will be though.
