Hey bud can you post your settings? I can't seem to get stable beyond a x49 multi... Other than vcore what other voltages did you adjust? I can't adjust the bclk at all without a bsod. I'm x49 stable at 1.44v

I didnt save the profile so Im not sure exactly the settings. vcore 1.545 bios llc set to medium, vccsa 1.2, vtt 1.25, cpu pll 1.83ish, hynix profile. boot up vcore seemed to help, set it to 1.48. Its not stable, just trying to see how high I could get it to boot from bios.
I set multi to 51 and started at 5314mhz then backed bclk down a notch at a time until it booted into windows.
Ok cheers. Llc at medium seems to do the trick for me. Couldn't get past 4.6 when I had it auto.
What's the max safe voltage 24/7? BTW running water here.
These are intels maximum voltages for SB-E.

I guess it will have already warned that a new version of the manual E6989 November, to add to the initial post.

A greeting.
Is it just me or does the rog image at boot flash up 3 times as if it is rebooting? Any way to stop it from happening?
Also I have disabled ln2 mode with the jumper but in bios it says it's enabled
Disable full screen logo. Not sure about the ln2 mode being enabled, I havent messed with it.
Has anyone managed to get offset mode working @125 strap? I cant for the life of me. Manual vcore works just fine. I have tried quite a degree of diferent options to try and get there.
I see people reaching higher OC's at higher straps with less Vcore and fancy a bit of it but i dont want to give up reducing the vcore when idle for cpu lifespan.
I'm not sure how useful the strap is with the unlocked chips. I presume it helps to run higher strap lower multiplier, but I'm running at 100 strap, bsclk 100 x multi of 50 using voltage offset. I first thought I needed static Vcore for stability but it turned out to be the Clock Gen Filter settings. Now that is set to 20UF, I can run offset all the way to 5Ghz.
Spent a couple of hours messing around and here's what I got so far.

Tried to go higher (x53 @ 1.55v) but hangs on windows startup. Am using my "old" X58 G.Skill RAM DDR3-2000 in dual channel.
Cooling wise, I'm under water on a Koolance 370; load temps have yet to exceed 65 degrees (20 degrees ambient).
Hey bud can you post your settings?
I'm now able to boot into windows with a 50x multi by setting clock gen to 20uf, llc to medium and vcore to 1.48. Run prime for 20min but crashes. Needs more vcore but temps are getting marginal; 74 on water. Would like to try running it with offset.
AI OC Tuner: Manual
Turbo Ratio: All Cores
All Cores: 50
Clock Gen Filter: 20UF (change from Auto)
Memory Fequency: Manually set to 2400
Vcore: Offset +1.05
VTT: Manually set to 1.25v
VCCSA: Manually set to 1.285v
RAM: Manaully set to 1.675v
PLL: Manually set to 1.95v
LLC: High
All other voltages and settings on Auto
Set DRAM timings manually to 11-11-11-31-2T (same as XMP but entered manually...all other settings on Auto).
Thanks mate, much appreciated.
I'll post back findings after a mess around.

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I can't set my offset more than +0.63??
Not sure why. My Offset of 1.05v takes my loaded Vcore to 1.45v on Auto LLC. When I change LLC to High, I get 1.46v which get's me stable at 5Ghz.
Make sure you are looking at your Vcore in Windows under load.
Not yet. My big issue was the cold boot thing. I think the Clock Gen Filter of 20UF fixes the issue, but when I was trouble shooting it at the time, I made a shotgun set of adjustments that worked really well. Because the cold boot issue was random, I am winding down each of the changes I made one at a time, so it is taking a while to test each change. So far I've been able to drop the VTT and VCCSA from 1.3v each, and now I have the Vcore offset working. I will try a PLL drop tomorrow after I let this current configuration cycle a few more times.
mdzcpa I have the 2133mhz 9-11-28 2T modules and mine do 10-11-10-28 2T at 2400 mhz easy at 1.675. Winde those modules in mate!!!! Hey are you watercooling (did you get the block installed), active cooling the VRM section with High LLC the current is very high to the CPU and VRM temps go up considerably. Also just as a point the lower current with lower LLC give about 4c - 5c less core temps on the CPU. This is when the exact same voltage is applied to the CPU as with the high LLC.
Thanks for the tips mate!
The Koolance mobo block is being shipped...should have it Tuesday. For now I am actively cooling the RAM with a pair of twin fan RAM coolers and this is also helping keep the VRM temps in check for now. The issue with Offset Voltage is that it requires a higher level of voltage than the static setting needs. It also needs the overshoot the higher LLC provides. If I dop LLC from High using Offset I get an occassional crash when flipping between load and idle states. I really like the idea of Offset as the chip rarely sees full load for extended periods under normal day to day duties and I prefer the lower thermals and enhanced CPU life Offset provides. BUT....I also like that I could run lower Vcore and lower LLC with a static voltage setting....so I'm still undecided.
Is your LLC on Auto or Medium?
For the DRAM I'm shooting for 2700mhz for day to day. It should be doable with only 16GB and the fact I'm not leaning too hard on the IMC with lower VTT and VCCSA required for 2400. Testing and tweaking is going slower this week. I've been gaming with my boys most free time and stressing the system to make sure each change is stable. I've run the DRAM at 2500 for a while without issue, so I'll be working higher soon. I'll keep you posted!!
Hmmm...I just caught a video from Asus showing them running 2700mhz DRAM on a RIVE. I took a good look at the timings. Not sure I can make that for 24/7 use. It would take a cherry IMC. We'll see.....
Yeah as you go up the mhz on RAM your gonna need more Voltage for sure on VCCSA and VTT anyway. Give it a try. With 32gb I have no chance but I may well try 16gb again just to get some results.
Hey got a quick question: Anyone using a Corsair H100 with this board? Using the 2011 bracket the H100 was a very tight fit, the slots didn't want to go over the posts (I did use the Corsair 2011 posts too) and I am not sure if I "over tightened" the block onto the CPU. It was very tight screwing the 4 posts down, is there any way to be sure I didn't over tighten it? Would it damage the CPU? I'm afraid of crushing the pins or whatever. The board is running just fine and I'll be overclocking it today using the excellent info in this thread.
I have the same kit of mem, what is your vccsa running to get 2400 10 11 10 stable?
Edit: NVM that was a no go. Cant boot at 2400 10 11 10 28 2t with this kit. I have bad luck with gskill.
I am also trying a 16gb quad kit of Mushkin enhanced redline/ridgeback. They will run stable at 2133 9 10 9 28 using the tight PSC profile, but the gskill wont boot with the the same profile. Need to use the hynix profile for gskill.
