It's more the news/tweaks/workarounds info you can get from OCZ forums, Firmware you have to get from Kingston.. Start AS SSD or Anvil storage Utility, there you will see if you are on the latest v3.20 FW, wich is the same as OCZ's 2.11. Kingston is now an official SandForce partner, and they will get a FW update as soon as it's available... The latest FW for OCZ did not fix much, so patience is an absolute needed quality to survive the SF saga...
BTW: Lets not hijack this thread to much, after all this is the SaberTooth thred ;)
Thanks alot :-) Sorry for hijacking the thread, my fault... I have the motherboard in question, and ended up here, seeing many others got the same SSD problem as me.... :)
Just did a clean Win 7 ultimate install, reset the sabertooth motherboard.... and i havent encountered any freezing yet..... Hell, it actually wakes up from safe mode with no problem even with the Internal PLL overvoltage setting on auto! I enabled hotplug earlier aswell, and now when i reset the MB its disabled.... might be what did it for me "shrugs...
For now im superhappy, hope it lasts.... I hate the feeling I get when stuff crashes on me after lots of hours of tweaking... Again thanks for all the help :)
There's a 2.13 firmware update on OCZ now.
Issues resolved since version 2.11:
Fixed a corner-case issue in drive recovery after unsafe power cycles
Further improved bad block managements after repeated unsafe power cycles
Fixed a issue when a secure erase command was accepted even an uncorrected password was entered
Known open issue:
Formatting a RAID1 volume takes longer than expected with PMC-Sierra BR-8 HBA

I am having little bit of problem with this mobo now, doing water and trying to cool sli cards but...somehow with ek blocks and ek bridge, i cant use the bridge? with 2 slot bridge its too short and with 3 slot bridge, holes wont line up with cards as if pci-e slot was in wrong place? Anyone have ideas how to fix this problem as i need to get some neat solution with sli 580gtx DCII cards
Attachment 120534
I also had problems with my Sabertooth and my SSD (Corsair C300). It would freeze up randomly and of course it would NOT resume from sleep.
Try a lot of things but to no avail until I found this forum discusing the freezes using SSD. Its the IntelRapid Storage.. I tried the solution in the tred and only disactivated PORT1 where my SSD is plugged... Voila, no more freezing, better benches and beleive me or not, it finaly wakes up from sleep mode, even days in sleep with no problems.. Give it a try... Good luck:up:
hello guys !
I'm wonder if someone knows what it's the best bios for this board.
Online, on other board, i read that new bios can improve the oc capability maybe it's same here
any feedback?
1904 is definitely the best for myself, most stable have ever had too, no issues whatsoever, no BSOD's, been awesome, had loads of issues with the others in the past, 2001 is awful for me and it is a bugger to downgrade unless you use the AMIWIN tool, so yeah 1904 ftw ))))

Impressions on 2103?
Sleep bug still exists for me. Granted i just got this mobo and while it shipped with publicly not available 1606 i immediatly flashed it to 2103. It was much later i stumbled upon the sleep bug. Already tried most mentioned workarounds.
Okay fixed these issues by disabling c3 /c6 then shut off PLL overvolatage and disabled the Mar controller. No more boot freezes but voltage droop seems to have increased a bit.

New BIOS 2302 is a dud. Asus still hasn't fixed sleep bug.
Computer still wont wake up from sleep even after disabling pretty much everything in BIOS.
To the best of my knowledge the sleep bug issue occurs due to the fact that this mobo is extremely picky when it comes to PSU-s.
Many people on several forums have instantly fixed their sleep issues with this mobo by using another PSU.
This apprears to effect mostly higher end modular PSU-s. Especially from Corsair HX series.
Unfortunately for me i have Corsair HX1000 but my friend has SeaSonic S12II 520W PSU and hes PC has no problems waking from sleep mode.
Also reported problematic are AX-850 and HX850.
I dont have another PSU laying around to test this tho but i've looked into this problem quite thoroughly so im pretty sure this is it.
http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1579942 <-- Page 8 or 9 is where the PSU issue is discovered.
Done few tests and found out that i need to turn off EIST as well, other wise it wont wake up. But i like when cpu throttles down at idle.
I should have kept the cheap p67 board that i bought for $60. It had zero issue.
Sleep mode works fine here, I haven't had to disable any BIOS features.
My board is dead after flashing 2302. What is normally an easy job resulted in a non-responsive motherboard after reboot right after flashing with EZ flash.
The CPU-Led is on and my grphx card fan is running on full speed. I can get no screen at all, not even the crash bios.
Sh!* board!
No problem here with 2302.
If this board didn't have lots of issues I wouldn't have to flash it in the first place. ;)
Issues like ? have had P67 with a 2600K at 4.8 daily, now X79, sabretooth has been very reliable to me...
I love this board. Keeps my 2500k linx AVX stable at 4500 mhz with 1.24v, 1600 mhz idle at 0.9v.
It also does 5000 mhz with 1.4v and pll overvoltage, but haven't tested stability yet...
All this on the latest 2302 bios. Haven't had a single issue so far, bought it last november.
