CardS? How many do you have? :D
Yes Ι think sooo like last years
Giorgio can you confirm this ?
edit: he posted
because i was asked about some Hardmod to full remove OCP I asked to the MSI office:
DISCLAIMER: ME AND MSI ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THE MOD GOES WRONG, AND DOING HARDMOD WILL KILL YOUR WARRANTY. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
1. Change ER1091 from 9.09k to 2K
2. Change ER1103 and ER1059 from 48.7k to 2K
OCP will become 1000A. APS should not be used at the same time, or it will kill the card.

Great to see Gorgio! Nice Thanks!!!
So no danger for the mods... that sounds good.
Did anybody test the mod?
I think there is no time to test the mod sufficient.
I dont want to mod our card and when we test it under LN2, the card will die immedietly?!
Its a bit risky with the competition card...
What is normal OCP? Whats the current gain with this mod?
I didn't test the mod
According to the guide it's 492 A with OCP unlocker off and 542 A with OCP unlocker on, so I'd say it's a pretty big gain... But how about other values? anything less than stock values will increase OCP? Can we solder just a resistor in parallel?
So do we need exactly 2k as the result of the parallel connection, or are values between 9,09k - 2k and 48,7k and 2k ok, to increase the current?
So will 7k and 40k will result in 650A for examble?
Because 1000A is a lot :D
An untested mod with some questions left will result in 1000A... I dont know if that is a good combination :D
So a intermediate step would be great!
Thanks a lot for support giorgio
So, just shorting them will disable overall OCP, right? Not that OCP is this card's problem, really.
We tested the card no mods and only activating the switch...and works fine.
I don t think OCP is the issue to extreme.
Something like a GTX 480 Lightning working hard.
When would one use the ocp switch over 1.30ish?or are all cards different..i'v killed a hawk and a lightning or two by using the ocp switch(just the jumper no volts other then stock) so i think i will try the pencil mod if i need it rather then use the jumper just cus i have bad dreams still..i'm just having fun i dont need crasy pro clocks like you guys but the dewer is full so..
