In all reality, I don't see a need to run hours and hours of Prime when the OC can function under normal everyday conditions, but each to his own.
I run Prime and OCCT to set my thermal paste.
Sorry to bump an old thread but I just picked up a 890fxe my self to demote my 1090t to HTPC duty while I wait for my bulldozer/990 sabertooth setup. I've always only used ASUS boards so I was skeptical on the 890fxe however I must admit with the latest bios this board is very stable and easy to work with.
Conservative o/c with great vcore voltages...
It's unfortunate that the power section of this board had to be redesigned for Zambezi support but I guess on the upside it gave them a chance to finally add USB3 and a few other minor improvements. The TA990FXE is out now and it's dirt cheap ($130 + shipping) but with Zambezi not offering what I expected I don't think I'll be upgrading as quickly as I planned. For those that are interested I did a short write up of the changes here:

The way things are looking now I may stay on my TA890FXE and replace my dying 1090T with a new Deneb when those drop further in price.
Why is your 1090T dying :)?
CPU-NB voltage of 1.3875v degraded it. I have the CPU-NB back to stock 1.15v and 2000 MHz since I can't go any higher.
