Reporting back in. My 1055t did Prime95 stable 10 and a half hours with 1.55v/1.57v. LinX, full memory 20 pass test as well, but forgot to do a screenie.

did we find out if amd overdrive let you use the higher multis for 1055T? if so that might help out BETA with using a much lower cpu voltage.
Id bet depending on the mobo it might be getting overvolted automatically through the mobo. If I set my voltage to lets say 1.4v I might see up to 1.45v if running prime. He should go over the voltages again my 1090T can do prime at 1.4v 4ghz.......didnt let it run for long but its just an example.Quote:

Ambient temp is 21 degrees Celcius, so I don't believe the temperature the CPU is reporting.
This is all in a closed Lian-Li PC-A05N with an UltraKaze 2000 as intake powered by the CPU fan header. The fan runs 1100RPM idle and around 1700RPM under full load.

Hey guys, looking for some insight with this issue I am having with my 1090T, taken from my cinebench benchmarking post...
Not sure why CPUZ has my clock speed/voltage fluctuating since I have C1E, Q&Q and CPB disabled in the bios? This appears to be an issue with the new asus bios, great.
Update: No matter what I set my cpu voltage to in the bios, it won't reflect the same bios voltage in cpuz or AOD. BIOS says 1.4V and AOD says 1.325...
To run at 4.0ghz I need to set 1.40V in AOD...
Hopefully Asus releases a fix for this.

Particle, why is your HT Link so low? Maybe that's causing instability?
Hey all just reporting back in. I sold my previous 1015 batch chip on craigslist and was lucky enough to get a buyer within 2 hours of my posting. As some of you may already know, that chip took 1.57v to do 4 ghz. I got a lil guidance from crazydiamond but sadly this chip just wasn't having anything else. Anyways, after I sold the 1015 batch, I called up Fry's and spoke to the cage guy and he confirmed that the other batches they had were 1008's and 1010's, I went with the 1010. got home and popped the chip in and the stock VID is 1.3000v. Pretty good, I think? Waaaay better than the 1.425 chip atleast.
Anyways I managed to do 4.0ghz with 1.47v/1.49v prime95, small FFT's 10 hour stable and LinX full memory load, 20 passes. 286 bus speed, 14x multi with 8x on the NB and HT Link. 1.2v on the cpu nb, 1.2 NB everything else on auto.
I just wanted to update my situation, sadly though i forgot to take screenies of my 10 hr prime and 20 pass linx, but I got 3 hours of blend.

now i have crosshair iii and 965 and 5970 sapphire. i use pc only for gaming. what do u think? i need to sell ch3 and 965 and buy ch4 and 1090t? it's better? i use pc with noctua nh-d14 and now i have 965 at 4000@.1475 - with 1090t i can overclock more? also 4200-4300 air mode? it's better for game? thx to all!

hey richierich, i see that you're running a mugen 2 with two gentle typhoons, which is exactly what i'm gonna do. good combo, right?
i've already taped the short sides of the mugen 2 to eliminate airflow leakage for push-pull. i figured that would increase air pressure somewhat. thoughts?
How did you tape them? I figured that the typhoons were already good enough that I didn't have to do any kind of taping.
transparant tape on both short sides. and it's not like the fans itself aren't good enough, it's just that i think this could increase performance a little. i'd like the air to go straight through rather than escape from the sides.Quote:

I try to keep it around 1GHz or so. Considering how unimportant HT link speed is, there really isn't any reason to push it. 800-1200 MHz is fine.Quote:
