For 24/7 use, is it safe to use 1.35v for the VTT?

Ordered an i5 750 and 4Gb OCZ ddr3 obsidian to cut the costs. Yesterday the paycheck arrived and I totally forgot about the endyear bonus :D
Now I'm thinking to exchange either the i5 for an i7 860 or the OCZ for some g.skill ripjaws ddr3. Any thoughts ?
Did a long blend run with this cpu, have only done short runs up until now. I really didnt think it was capable of passing more than a couple hours. Had passed LinX but kept failing blend until now, made a couple adjustments in voltages.

Coming from an AMD system, do you guys have any tips on what I might be able to do to lower voltages and keep the same OC? Also, what should VDroop be set on? I've tried it both ways, one seems to overvolt, the other will undervolt. In the bios the vCore is set to 1.38**

Is this running with Vdroop? If so then under load you were you running ~1.36v load? Your voltage doesn't seem that unreasonable for 8 threads... of course some chips are better than others. What memory divider were you using? I noticed you are running pretty low dimm voltage too. You could also try 191x21 you might be able to lower vcore/vtt some with a lower bclock.
I suppose it is user preference as far as with or without vdroop. With vdroop runs your cpu under the more normal intel power design/delivery parameters. With out or sometimes called LLC enabled (load line calibrated) is a featured offered by the motherboard manufactures to curtail voltage droop under load and thereby aid in stabilizing the cpu at higher overclocks. I've seen people advocate both methods. I have used both but for my 4.0Ghz overclock with my X3440 and 8 threads I currently seem to prefer without.
Thanks, I have tried with and without vdroop, this board doesn't have the major vdroop that some other boards have, it actually over volts the cpu with that feature enabled. I just set it to "with vdroop" but if I go any higher I will need to use it to keep my idle vcore down.
Edit, I think in that 4ghz prime run it was set to "without vdroop". I was trying to lower my vtt and had to raise vcore a couple notches, 1.35vcore bios, 1.364 windows idle, 1.388 load.
vfx, your vcore seems about normal for 4ghz. I was also wondering what your stock memory voltage is? That does seem pretty low.
Stock voltage is 1.5V, It's 1333 ram. I'm running without vdroop, so the vcore goes up to 1.41 under full load. Right now I'm running 182 x 22 (4005Mhz), ram is at 1456Mhz now.
Did a quick LinX run using 200bclk to get the ram up to 2000mhz, This is using the "with vdroop" option, vcore in bios is set to 1.4125v. In order to use less vcore I have to increase vtt to 1.35v. My chip needs 1.388vcore load using 1.3vtt or 1.364vcore load for 1.30vtt, it is just a trade off but my guess would be lower vtt is better.

I would disable turbo and shoot for 191x21. The lower bclk/bus freq may help lower your vtt and vcore a little. I haven't tried any overclocking with turbo enabled so I'm not sure about how that will effect it switching into turbo mode. Maybe someone else that has tried it will have some input.
Picked up a new kit of GSKILL Trident last week. Here is a quick test at 215 bclk ~DDR3-2150.

I dropped the multi and pushed a tad higher and temps are more manageable. I might be able to get 218 stable but 219 and 220 seem to lock up when I run prime. The last shot at 215 was with out vdroop this one is running with vdroop... 18x217@3.9GHz DDR3-2170

I was messing around earlier today trying the 18 multi also, got it up to 225 not stable of course, was trying some spi. At 229x18 it crashed even in 1m. Finally gave up for the day.
Good job on that bclk, looks like you got a good chip.
