Wow. Awesome CG and animations.
I like the black case more than that white one.
This really needs to become a reality, and I like the black on white look.
The renders keep getting better and better. How close is this to becoming a reality?
how much is it to get a case like this fabbed?
Geeze guys, if you read the thread, we have no idea how much its going to cost, mick and I are working on that soon hopefully :D
if the Tj07 is like the most expensive case on market, in UK i paid £240 for it this is Crazy price for a case, silverstone are rip of by far make maximum profit. A range of £100 - £200 would be good over 200 would be to much.
I think you could look at the Lian-li v2010 as a price for this case if made by lian-li - maybe add £30
I could get that case made, but not until July. A few modifications would be need to be made also to reduce the cost of fabrication. Materials would cost about £120. Machine time approx £80-130 for a one-off. (cnc press, laser/water cutting)
Just to let you know, I've started working on some detailing on how this thing would be put together. As it is at the moment, fabrication would be a little difficult, so a few minor changes will be needed. These changes will not affect the way the case looks, just the way the sections are attached to one another.....
Watch this space!
If a one off is looking at roughly £250 you are onto a winner!
I expect a PM as soon as this case is made. im buying one...haha
Mick, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, you can count me in for 2, and if you get the price around what was mentioned a few post up then you can expect a couple more from me.... could really use one for a build I am mocking up now
I'll have one too :yepp:
i doubt... removing the bottom pannel (usb+firewire etc) will be possible mount a longer psu (something like the pcpower & cooling Turbo-Cool 1.2Kw 230mm) with a triple radiator?
so whats the plans on selling this case?
whos going to make it for you?
how much will the final cost be?
where can we buy one?
why not put a side intake or not. i know it'll mess up the clean side look, but most WC'ers dont have enough cooling for the ram/nb/mosfets.
i know in my case w/ only front intake and rear exhaust on my haf, my nb burns up and ram gets hot. When i have a side intake at 1200rpm everything cools down to the touch...
Perhaps for us fans of upside down motherboards, you could design it so that the motherboard and mid plate could be unfastened via thumbscrews and flipped to the otherside of the case. Along with that, make the side panels swapable so the window would end out on the right side.
....just a thought. :)
Symmetrical side-panels would solve that problem with wanting to have window and possibility to have inverted ATX style mobo.
Well, if catering for upside down motherboards why not make the rear panel 3 moveable sections? This way not only can the mb tray be flpped it can also be lowered by strange people like me who don't like bottom mounted rads and would rather have 2 rads at the top ;)
What do strange people like me then do about the psu ? We move it to the bottom of the case but at the front and exhaust the heat through a cut out in the bottom of the case :)
This is some seriously great work, you are starting to do what I'm sure a lot of us have thought about, but never necessarily made the effort that you have had.
It is extremely functional, but is it wide enough to accommodate additional hard drives. Possibly placing them in front of of the lower radiator fans. You may have to widen the case by a 10mm or so. Is the case capable of supporting two psus mounted vertically as other cases with these sort of dimensions usually are?
What sort of things can you do to the front that will create a bit more of an elegant look that would broaden the audience to make it more attractive for a case manufacturer to make this into a tangible product. Two constant lines like the tj-07, or a constant mesh appearance such as the original V-Series. The key thing is to have an elegant front, with a consistent design element for it to be sucessful product sale. A huge part of this hobby is machine lust, and great design helps move products (think apple). It might even be a worthwhile consideration to make the interior of the case out of steel, painted black to lower costs. Since a case like this is going to be heavy once its loaded up with radiators, fans etc, the weight savings are negligible. Unless the cost of shipping and distribution out weighs the cost savings of going with steel for the interior.
B/c in the end something like this is bound to cost 500 usd or more.
Un less you had a different business model in mind.
