@emoners: am just getting the T2RS. It will be here tomorrow. Hope more folks can show some results with a Q9650/E8600...
@ maxxx
i'm probably getting the T3RS but the problem is i still don't have money to buy ddr3 3gb kit mems
this will be mainly a gaming rig, but not games that are too demanding. mainly counterstrike source and team fortress 2. these games are more processor based and from what ive seen on both reviews on the dk and ut is that the ut gets better fsb. but then again i dont know if i'll need that high of a fsb for these games.
@ jdmR
I think any of the boards will be fine & will do what you want no problem.
thanks c-n. one last question for anyone who has a xigmatek hdt s-1283. is there any problems fitting the heatsink either way?
So far i'm likeing it a lot. Running 4 sticks of ram is very trickey, but is more than doable and will probably get easier once i fully understand the change in settings from the P35. As with all DFI's since the NF2 days, once you've got the ram side of things sorted the rest is plain sailing.
Aite i just ordered one of these to try out while my Gigabyte is @ RMA. ordered just now overnight so i'll probably get it Thursday. My quad did 515 FSB stable on the gigabyte ud3p. lets hope this DFI is as good. I'll post my results as soon as i can. Untill then, Any high fsb quad templates would be greatly appreciated.
I have an S-1283 on the P35 UT and fits well. It should fit with this board. Layout looks similar enough.Quote:

@jdmR: I have only tried the horizontal direction. But I think it should fit. Gonna test when I remove the heatsink this weekend.
@maxxx
thanks, let me know :D
@ RNeon
any new result with your UT P45-T3RS?
do you still have problem running 500fsb and above?
please post your bios template & we will try to help you :)
Hello,
thank you for trying help but i have changed to T2RS. No any chance to run 500FSB. Maybe itīs better with new Bios version but i cannot wait so iīve changed.
it also happens to me with lanparty JR P45. but when i saw some reviews
on the net, i found adjusting the bootup clock to 400 will fix my problem running 500x8fsb.
before selling my lanparty jr p45 i did 626x7fsb on air cooling. no setfsb & clockgen, straight boot from bios to windows :)

wow, thats one hell of an matx board. nice numbers sub, now im thinking about that board!
for my needs, the jr p45 would be enough. its a smaller version of the dk p45 but the highest fsb i've seen on the dk p45 is 480. you think adjusting the boot clock will work the same way for the dk?
@ jdmR
Both my DK's do well over 600 easy.
I must have 500fsb for my quad or UT is sold as soon as UD3P gets back. Kinda hard to go down. We'll see tomorrow.
Mine came in today. Installed board and it wouldnt post. power supply just beeped over and over.
Then i remembered, a few years ago i had a DFI 680i that did the same thing with this power supply.
Apparently early revision Enermax Power supplies do not work correctly with DFI Motherboards.
Google confirmed this. I was able to get it to occasionally post by removing the floppy PCIE power connectors,
per DFI forums. Now it posts 60% of the time.
So far i havent been able to get this quad to boot higher then 450fsb. This bios is so intimidating.
Sooo many different or different named adjustments, I dont really know where to start.
I started with C-Ns dual core template as a baseline and modified and adjusted from there.
Not much luck. I wish there were some more Quad users with this board to cheat off of
Some high FSB ABS files would be awesome. :yepp: I'll keep playing with it for a few days till my UD3P gets here,
Maybe i'll have some luck by then.
Which thread could i read to get me more knowledgeable with these bios settings, Does the x48, p35 or others have the same settings?
I'll check em out and see.
That's pretty bad new for me.
Those you pointed have close BIOS try to peak on the X48 Thread.
Keep GTL Ref Settings around 67% VTT for the Q9650. Also don't be shy on NB volts.
See if RGones Template help you with the Quad:

If you can make 8x500 pretty sure you'll get too 9x500 or more...
