DFI SB750 boards, more scuttlebut.. NOW WITH DFI LINKS

Too drunk lol, forgot to say I already ran my system with a 32-bit OS. Well, not this one, but my older 790FX-DQ6. Im not sure, but I think my UT 790FX-M2R as well. I cant be sure about that. But I tried that with normal XP and it didnt show improvements regarding idle freezing. I only managed to be able to boot up at a higher clock, but that was to be expected since this was the same on my Athlon X2. Idle freezing however, it didnt get away except stock settings, just like current 64-bit OS:(

Seems like Ive the rotten one... Well, regarding OC's though. I still think Phenom is a very nice CPU and I can run everything I want. It's just a bit of a let down after waiting this long on SB750 to see the actual problem for me, idle freezing, isnt actually solved by SB750 (or Im missing something). Oh well;

i feel you ramm. im pulling my hair out too over this idle freeze. either i fix it or i throw something out the window first, hehe.

But another kind of strange behaviour with acc.

e.g. When i fine tune ACC to the extreme and do stability test everything is fine.

But after that stability test, wehn i reboot sometimes i could not boot into windows at all. Had to set ACC to auto to be able to get into windows again lol.

Also when ACC is hand tuned it could happen that after PC reset no boot, but stress test was fine.

So right now i am running ACC on auto again lol.

Dont know if I had the same 'experience'

Sometimes I ran Prime Blend for quite a while. If a freeze occured but somehow I decided to reset and try the same setting it would just keep on showing the Windows loading bar without any HDD activity for minutes and/or a BSOD. Quite weird:confused:

Just bought the board. 09/19 bios.
The damn thing won't shutdown after it's selected in windows. Actually it does...for a second and then restarts itself with no way I can find of stopping this loop.
Anyone else getting this or know how to fix it? Apart from pulling the plug.

Besides that I'm getting 3ghz @ stock with no ACC so far...

Maybe this new beta bios can help?

Major Reasons of Change:
1、Added CPU NB Clock Ratio Item for Phenom CPU OC.
2、Added CPU Host/HTT Adjust Gap Item.
3、fixed over 12G will hang in USB initial.

Added CPU_NB_VID Item.

How are you flashing the board? Winflash or a usb stick?

I'm seeing that big flashing warning on their site and thought I had better check.
DFI as usual are using pidgeon english when they're talking about this auto boost thing. I haven't installed it as I presumed it was automatic overclocking, yet I'm being led to believe from this warning that it might be needed for bios flashing. Is that the case?

I'm confused and don't know what to think now...:confused:

As far as I know it’s not needed for flashing. That massage is just saying if you are going to use there OC program you need the most up to date files. I download the files meant for updating your Bios via a floppy disk & put them on a Dos bootable USB stick. I have had no problems up dating my Bios this way. If you have made any changes in your Bios then save them to one of the back up banks. Up date your bios, shut down your PC, reset the CMOS battery, and turn on your PC, go into Bios screen, load default values, shut down PC, reboot PC back into Bios screen and then load up your saved settings. Then you should have no problems and a better working board.
