Oh goody! I'm on the VIP list! :D
Story of my life thusfar.
Dave, I sent my part of the deal for the backplates and shipping costs. $60 should cover the total, right?
So no one have pin-mod these suckers successfully yet?
Not to my knowledge
Hi, How do you know this 266FSB mod works?
I don't think it will as from all I've read( and trust me here, I did a LOT of research on these) the highest FSB ever gotten with the Yonah was 245 on that Aopen 975 board..App 2940mhz they got to.
I think your going to have to be happy with the 200FSB pin mod IF it will work.
It didn't for me but hey, I'm an old blind man so maybe I missed something.:D
Taking these chips from 2000(1995 in reality) so from 2000/2mb/667 to 2400/2mb/800 is a decent jump.
At that speed they should do just over 10,000 a day in WCG as they perfectly work out to 1.1 point per day per total mhz.
To put that in perspective, when the Q6600 B3 kentsfields came out they worked out to 1.09 permhz per day so these are pretty impressive little chips.
With a working pin mod to 2400 thats 9600 total mhz and that times 1.1 equals 10,560 points a day claimed. Not bad huh?
Let's update som:
The mobos are at Moviemans place at friday, how about heatsinks and backplates?
Maybe I should order the backplates here in the Netherlands, if they were the ones that Jaco showed us?
EDIT: they aren't, NVM.
Btw what size of psu is this requires :D?
I've an 230W psu over here, with P4 connectors and all :P
Is that enought? should be...
