I suggest undervolting/ underclocking your RAM until we have more knowledge on the issue. Better safe than sorry, I wouldnt risk it so soon.Quote:

Nope. It's already been posted by opeople who work at Intel that it's a non issue. There is a workaround and we'll have to wait for info until after the NDA lift date is lifted and the NDA is lifted. heheQuote:

See above. We're all playing the "hurry up and wait" game. Hope the wait is over soon, becasue this is getting rediculous. I'm about ready to jump ship on the i7 and go with a Q9550 if this thing is not out by week 2 November. This thing has been drug out and hyped for over a year now, and it's still under NDA. Personally I cannot wait any longer. I put a build off for over a year now on this thing and it still has not materialized. The boards are aboviously here now and the RAM is here now. those sticks should run just fine. Tony from OCZ has said there's a chance that Nehalem won't take as much voltage at a given memory speed to hold it stable, although he doesn't have anything to play with so it's an educated guess on his part (and he's rather educated on the mater:p:).Quote:

Finally, you may just even be better off dropping down to 1333MHz and running cas 6.
as for populating channels, you have a few choices.
-You can pick the best 3 of the 4 and run just 3 of them.
-you could get a 3rd kit and run 6GB
-you can place all 4 in, and have 1/4th of your memory not running interleaved, I'm unsure how this works, but I believe that last GB would be placed at the "end" of the addressable space and not be broken into often.
FYI, I was in the Microcenter in Dallas today and the P6T was on the shelf. $349.99, however they do not have any chips in yet.
