thanks much.
Could you elaborate on qimonda crap GDDR3? About how high does it go with a little luck?

ok for now, i just can give you the soldering point of the memory vmod. for this card, vmod point is on the pin #4. for the value of the resistance, just measure the default resistance on this pin first.
Lithan,
Stability is unlikely >1GHz with Qimonda RAM.
jan,
For the vGPU mod:
What's the resistance from pin#13 to ground on APW7088?
Are the points marked in green connected to pin#13?
edit:
vGPU mod: 20kΩ VR from either green spot to ground.
Attachment 75563
based on APW7088 Datasheet, this IC's used 3-bit DAC to drive the error aplifier of the output voltages.
so if you just change the FB resistance, the OVP will work, same as my POV 9600GT's
akin,
The FB method would allow VGPU upto almost 1.4V before OVP hits.
20kΩ VR from either of the points I marked in green to ground in the pic ABOVE. Don't go above 1.35v and you should avoid over voltage protection from causing a crash.
For vGPUs higher than 1.35v a more complicated mod is needed. First step would be tracing where the marked pins (#11, #15, #21) lead. It might also be helpful to measure the resistance from each to ground.
Attachment 75566
i'll measure resistance later also where the pins lead
maybe stupid question, but where are vgpu and vmem measuring points?
for voltages measuring point is here :

big thanks for the help so far :)
i'll try the mod on the weekend
@akin
what resistance vr is needed for the vm mod?

I just wonder about this jumper with the label J2. What is it purpose anyway? It on Galaxy 9600GT OC....

Clearer version of the jumper thingy....
Where did you get those pictures from? What do those site tell you? :)
Noticed that too, forgot to ask Galaxy though :(.
Galaxy 9600GT voltmods can be found here: http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=get...45&articID=802
most likely to select NTSC/PAL for video-out
Dural,
12pins / side -> #35 would be the one before the last on the "right side" of the chip.

How high voltage does your card do before it crashes?
Vgpu mod 9600GT reference design not possible, crash @ 1,2xx + Volt

Once I figured out why my card is not working at all any ore, I will try to ground pin35 and see what happens. Seems to be difficult though ;)
That's the downside of chips getting smaller, hehe
Busta_Dude: YOur mysterious jumper is a SPDIF-in ;)
Fr3ak,
Can you measure the voltage on that pin?
I am afraid, I cannot. There is no way I can measure that specific pin with the lousy equipment I have. I will try to solder a wire to it tomorrow, so I can measure it. I just moved and dont even have a lamp, so I have to wait until tomorrow in order to see where I solder.
Hmm...
Damn. It's starting to look like pin#35 is not the OVP-pin after all. Fr3ak, no need to measure it nor even try to solder on it.
