Mine are both Rev04.
:\
Largon, it sounds like your microphone was an inch away from the drive. Good stuff.
Where in AMERICA can i find these?
It seems HD642JJ has more sturdy case compared to HD322HJ:
Attachment 75157Less than an inch actually. :)
The drive was on a folded piece of foam and the mic was right between 'em.
what is funny, 500GB SAMSUNG and 750GB prices going up while new platter model 640MB going down now only 86€ :D
Yup, that means only 10% of the discs is in use so the head has very short distances to travel - the funny thing is this doesn't gain anything in real world because on non-fragged drives files are located just as close to each other as on this 10% array. The only application that gains is the random access time tests on HDD benchmarks.

omfg!!!! NEW PLATTER?
which one to choose :P
640GB Samsung HD642JJ 7200 16mb or 1000GB Samsung SpinPoint F1 32MB SATA II HD103UJ
both 334GB platter 100000% ?
Now that's a considerably price drop. Almost 50% infact.
TEDY,
The part number is the same HD103UJ so the letter that codes the amount of heads (U=6) is the same thus the amount of platters is 3.
Soooo cheap:eek: . Hope it's not a mistake.....
I don't see how it could be a mistake as there's dozens of vendors that offer the drive at this price point - or lower.
Well, now the price from mindfactory.de is 175.31 euro
e-bug and lots of others are still <130.
mindfactory are known to quickly change prices...
Samsung F1 HD322HJ 320GB
Poland 196zl around 40£, 55E, 80$.
