i hate you
Seems like 3850 are poping up but not enough 3870's to last long enough for me to get it.
EDIT:
Ok i just preorderd it off play.com, i never knew they did pc parts. They say it will come in on 21st so i should have the card by Friday.
£159.99 as its play.com free delivery.

heaps more popping up on staticice...most probably preorder for now...
not much difference between 3870 and 512mb 3850 in gouged australia...so 3870.

whats the best brand to get for a 3870 model?
newegg has diamond, HIS, saphire, and powercooler.
the cheapest one:D what one has the best cooler?/games?
teehee all 219 and all look like same coolers.
his diamond powercolor all have hdmi/dvi adapters and cf bridge...sapph doesnt show.
which brand has betta rep?
1 year warranty???? wow that is pathetic!!!!!
Agreed.
The HIS card has a 3 year warranty though. (komplett.co.uk lists these details)
I've never kept a card longer than a few months so it doesn't really bother me!
There is no way I'm using overclockers; 1. They are ripping us off with the inflated price. 2. Their RMA policy is basically 'F you'
Seems Komplett can't get their hands on any for some time, Dec now. I'm going to speak to Danny and see what he is saying.
I have an offer from a mate in the States to ship some in, £280 delivered iirc. Think I'm going to go for it.
LOL seems I was to slow!!!
They only had one in stock when I ordered 2 :(. Just cancled the order so 1 should be available soon I guess ... gutted :(.
Probably wont find a great deal like that for a long time now.
I already have a 2900, so its 2 or nothing. I'm not going to upgrade this card to 1 3870, there's not much point.
Sapphire has them also.

I received my cards today! :D
So I'm lucky and my HIS 2900Pro is on sale now....
I also looked at CCL and they will be getting 20 cards in 2 days!
Looks like supply is coming constantly and this Friday we should get loads of 3870 in UK
In Finland the cards are listed for a higher price than 8800GT when they should be cheaper, wtf is up with that. :(
8800GT: 209 EUR
HD3870: 230 EUR
Would have to bost 180~190 EUR and I might choose one over a 8800GT. :p:
sapphire does not know how to spell support. HIS usually has cards with better coolers avalaible pretty quickly.
pick it by what software comes with it, the pcb's are all reference design anyway so it wont make too much of a hardware difference which one you pick.
but, seeing the current situation, i'd say go with what gets delivered within the this century.
That's a little high, in Sweden the cheapest HD3870 is 199 EUR and the cheapest 8800GT is at 210 EUR.
The most interesting card for me is the Gecube versions, their cooler is bigger and has heatpipes. Also the fan is larger i believe. And they it costs only like 15 Eur more then Sapphire, HIS and is overclocked (Core 800 MHz Mem: Can't remember)
Edit: Found a pic

Cheapest in Greece is 195E as far as i can tell. And the GT s nowhere to be found and costs more than 230E. Anyone know if the VF900 and VF1000 coolers are copatible with the card and if upgrading to a VF1000 is worth it(I have a vf900 but i might sell it with my X1800XT to get a vf1000)
Looks like dell has a few 3870s in stock
just hope this AMD's rubber glove slaps make nVidia rush their damm next gen cards and solve the sli & intel drama.
