haven't seen the other reviews, but we have real people with CF 3870's now, so we can confirm or deny. keep in mind that we're still on beta drivers, so performance has nowhere to go but up, but i'd like to know if something is wrong. personally, i couldn't be happier with my setup.Quote:

well thanks for the info, lol i'll figure it out......
i kept renaming the file 3870.bin and adding it to the flash drive for which i had used the hp boot flash utility.
of course it didnt work.... everytime i tried it gave me an error...... until i realised that if i had named the file .bin i would have to type that and then type .bin again afterwards DOH!
lol...
anyway i'm now rockin crossfire @ 872mhz core 1328mhz mem thanks to the overdrive utility... will do some testing tommorow...
couldnt help myself and started testing the overclock in crysis.... the ccc set my mem far too high. it obviously doesnt work properly as the max is around 1251mhz but the core clock was fine...
what kind of 06 scores are u getting with a single card. just curious

the chances are, that with extra volts to the mem the cards bandwidth will be improved and without a doubt the core will go to 900mhz with a voltage bump... its just a matter of finding a couple of duorb coolers to fit and studying the bios's that we can get our hands on with a hex editor. i'm sure its just a matter of time before we are all going crazy as most of us will be upgrading to a couple of X2's in a few months.... in any case the 3870 is a great card.... i sold my xt's in favour of two of these.... the old core can hit the speeds but it just doesnt perform as well in games....
