Ocz 5400 ram (I borrow them from a buddy)
all is stock cooled, but i'm gonna buy some new cooling soon.
I just wonder if it's a wall @ 400fsb? can't get it over.. :S
But could it be the awful ram? it doesn't ov well..

Used most of your settings, will not post, added more vcore, still no go. changed to FSB (qdr) 1500, MEM (DDR) 800 and at 1.47vcore it runs great. CPU-Z says its running at 3000Mhz and ORTHOS at 3375MHz. Also, CPU-Z reports my Ballistix at 4-5-5-15-23 and it's set at 4-4-4-12 in BIOS.
I also changed the multiplier to 8!
I'll play around with it today to see what I can do.
I see others have gone to 1.5v on the vcore, is that safe? I have a L635A774.

Not only the vcore bugg is gone...but it makes the board somewhat more stable. I can now run 500mhz FSB Orthos stable at fairly low voltages.
When beched before my results could vary from bench to bench...but now itīs more stable...doesnīt fluktate as before.
However as I said before at certain FSB frequencies the vcore gets a little jumpy....but other than that....I love this bios.

Not bad for a first shot at this chip. I used it on a P5N-E SLI board but could not get past 1112 QDR. RMAed that board and got this little gem. :banana:

Used most of your settings, got to 3200Mhz, still unlinked, but I changed the memory setting to SLI Memory enabled, expert. I can run at 3500Mhz, but it won't pass Orthos past two hours. I backed off the QDR to 1520 and it runs stable Orthos for 8 hours no problem. vCore is set at 1.5v in Bios and reads 1.5v in probe. Not bad for about 30 minutes work, more to go.
I did flash to the latest Bios, 602 last night, had no problems.
Using Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800, anyone have experience with this ram?
At 3420Mhz! I used to think my X2 3800 oc'd was pretty fast, this C2D kicks it's ass all over the place.

About the stability...depending on what you are using your computer for..don´t get caught up in the orthos stability madness. For me it´s enought if it can run dual SPI32M...then it does everything I want it to do with absolute stability, wich includes gaming, burning dvds, packing and unpacking large files, rendering movies e.t.c. If´re not using your computer for SETI or FOLDING...then it might be enoung for you to...then again it might not. But just don´t get to excitetd about orthos.
H0RM0NE very respecatble OC there m8...seemse like you´ll get more out of it. Do you have any level of stability at that speed. About the mem OC, this board is so damn easy to OC memory, it won´t be a problem for you.

I also tried max FSB. At this speed the NB had serious problems holding lower latencies...couldn´t run anything than AUTO setting, even thoug I set the same values manualy. Here´s a pic:

Strange thing is resluts below is max FSB for suicide shoots...only 1mhz higher and little tighter timings than the pic above with SPI16M. Usually there would be more headroom between max SS and benchable numbers. I tried both higher and lower voltage...I also tried a fan with higher cfm rate and I tried diffirent dividers and memsettings...but it just wouldn´t boot higher.

Only things that i needed to change are my v-core and memory speed, because i got 800mhz memory (which did 920mhz in the past).

OK I am at a little bit of a standstill here with the e4300 and this board. It is most likely due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to O/Cing Intel chips. The RAM divider on this mobo comes off the QDR, or at least that is what I am seeing. Everything is based off that which is what is screwing me up I believe. With my AMD overclocking it was fairly easy to work right from the FSB, on this Intel chipset you are forced to work from quad speeds. To make matters worse there are only 3 dividers the lowest of which I am now.
Right now I have my board running Orthos BLEND with the e4300 at 3204MHz, the RAM linked on a 3:2 divider pulling 475MHz (DDR950!) 4-4-4-12 2T at 2.3v. I have been ran blend at these settings for 5+ hours. CPU max temp was 47c w/ C1 @ 41c and C2 at 44c. RAM temps are 40c and 41c w/ SB at 43c. Vdroop is a whopping .03v and never waivers (a beautiful thing :) ). With 1.525v set in BIOS it loads at 1.52v-1.51v and droops to 1.49v under load. That is about as solid as I have seen on a mobo.

I'm at a stop, or close to it as my RAM will eventually limit me due to a lack of dividers. There is an option in BIOS to set the RAM speed by typing it in. Unlinked mode. I have tried this and the system crashes. I have tried setting the speed to match what a whole # divider would give and it crashes. I have set the speed to run slower than what I Stress tested on linked 3:2 and it crashes.
I am completely at a loss for why the above should be so. Obviously the RAM can run that high as it passed orthos for well over 5 hours on blend before I manually ended the test. It seems I am somehow introducing an instability by using unlinked. I am trying to figure out what is causing that instability.
Can anyone tell me what I am mising here? It would be greatly appreciated.
All users of P5N32-E SLI and P5N32-E SLI Plus as well as Striker Extreme, who use Everest Ultimate, need to be aware that there is a fault in monitoring Vcore. And also thanks for the info on Everest...Iīll install it right away.Code:A little hint is try using 5:6 divider...Kunaak wrote about it in one of his threads about his P5N32 non Plus..I tried it and itīs very stable and strong..even with hig FSB. 5:6 divider means multipying your FSB with 1.2:
400FSB x 1.2 = 480mhz mem (DDR960)
500FSB x 1.2 = 600mhz mem (DDR1200)
