Cut out the digital circuit and supply power from circuit taken from another motherboard? :D

Maybe you could mod one of memory voltage supply units to directly power the cpu and cut out the boards power circuitry completely? You would have good stable power, super accurate voltages, and you could even go a little crazy (greater than 2v core voltage hmmmm?). It probably wouldnt work, but just thought I'd throw that idea out there. :banana:

It would work, just have to desolder some stuff.

Might be a better idea to build a linear voltage regulator that supplies from 1v to 3v at ~300 amps so you could move it from motherboard to motherboard. The maximizer isnt quite powerful enough for overclocking, though it could handle most cpu's at stock I bet :D

I'll test it as is and I'll get back for report.....:)

BTW 1st VGA is at 918MHz and 1216MHz 3D benchable under esdee's cascade....Of course with Chilly's evap at -83*C full load....;) :)

Did you notice the NB chip label?
Is it NF680i-SLI-N-A2 or C55-SLIX16N-A2?
Would you please be so kind to report the idle BIOS CPU Temp and Core-temp readings, at any frequency?

You see those are "tiny" digital circuit ICs with internal power Mos-fets and it's quite hard to keep them cool....:(

I wonder why when I worked with ASUS Striker and single VGA under cascade, I had 950fps on nature......
CPU at 3500MHz on air and VGA at 918MHz core and 1215MHz Rams under cascade.....
Now with the ABIT IN9, with the EXACT SAME config, I get 975fps on nature..... Is Striker THAT slow.....:confused:

I haven't benched 2k3 with 2 VGAs yet......I also did a clean Windows install so as to be sure......

Here's a 2k1 with CPU at 4GHz on air and SINGLE 8800GTX under cascade at 918MHz core and 1215MHz rams....

COMPARE 2k1 URL...

ALSO at the same frequencies a 2k3 bench.....I don't think that it's good though....:(
