I guess the correct comment should be "Cool".....
are you tweaking the shaders separately?

WOw!!
You just crushed K|ngp|n's 80K with a CPU on air!!
Magic! :toast:
How about 100K '01?
Have fun Kinc ;)
Dam.... this is :banana::banana::banana::banana: Kinc!!
now this is looking like a 100K setup and it's in the right hands as well :DQuote:

Id love to see 100k in 03 soon as well :)
with 5Ghz cpu power and 1Ghz on both G80 cores this setup will be a monster. looking forward to new scores! :D
Nice Marcus, this will be a sweet weekend.
Liquid Nitrogen: Fixed
84k w/CPU on air?
You got some serious GPU power, Marcus :toast:
Crazy result Kinc!!!
Nice and Crazy! ;) I guess we can expect some changes on the ORB this weekend...
Kinc
remember make a video chip for us :D
I will say my favorite word: ownage :D
100K 01se will fall very soon
:D nice kinc....
Thanks guys, these cards are a pure joy to bench :)
I belive crotale has a DV-camera :)Quote:

WOW, this is just INSANE!:toast: :toast:
Looking forward for more to come.
Eeee 84k with air CPU and frozen GPU :D
What's when ln2 on cpu & frozen gpu
Go on Winter DH :toast:
Regards
Martin
Kinc can you show the shader block freq.
Please...... :slobber:
congrats kinc really impresive, hope you can do a 4fecta at DH that gpu power is just insane
 Unbelievable, that 84k is just beyond insane, incredible :slobber:
The orb is about to get trashed... ;)
it is known that with 8800GTX CPU on in % equals 3DMark gain in %, so , theoretically, to break 100k in 03 you need only 4.75GHz :D
No the cpu is only a bottleneck for gt1 where I could gain about 2000 points. In the others tests we will only see a few fps higher results becuase there are few points where the cpu is a bottleneck in gt2-4, mybe 1000 points. 90k is a realistic goal :)Quote:

So from now on 01 is 100% about cpu speed. I think it would be more fun to do it with a single 8800GTX clocked very high. Remeber -77C is the coldest I've run single and that coul bring 1GHz. So more should be posible with ln2.
About hte shader clock. From my experience it sacles with the core clock, since the perf jumps in big leaps going only 1MHz higher at some points.
My point about the shader, is that sooner or later you may reach the limits of the gpu or shader clock speed.
We need to know where those speeds are.
Yes ocing the gpu results in an oc of the shaders as well.
So, what if the shaders caused a crash while the gpu still had more in it, or visa versa?
Once it is determined that the gpu is maxed out, using normal ocing programs, then will be the time to check and possibly adjust shader clock to see if it is what caused the crash or not
I have been playing with this on one of my gtx's. I upped the shader from 1350 to 1450. When I used riva to oc, the shader scaled as well, but starting at 1450, so it was being over overclocked.
does this make sense?
Wil it have an effect? we'll find out soon enough , I think.
I see you point but upping the the steraming processors wont do much for perf and will most likely impact the oc on core part of the gpu. After all it is the ROP power and texture to pixels we need to make these card scale better with high core. I would like to see a test with both lower ang higher ref sp clock. As you say it couild make a deifference to the oc experience with these cards.Quote:
