On the sub-zero cooling you have you should be able to go MUCH higher with FSB but you will need to lower you're multi and maybe increase your vcore :)Quote:

I maxed out at around 4.48Ghz using a vapochill LS. At this boards maximum stock voltages you might not be able to get a high CPU overclock and a high FSB at the same time.
Strange think. I was using Fc and it didnt give more fsb...
Maybe contact was bad and i didnt have much time for it.
But i found 2 hot spots(chips) to cool witch could bringh me somme fsb.
I`ll give it a CUsink and find out :)
Is there anyway to speed up the whole USB part of the BIOS? Everything seems to start up fast exxcept initiallizing and loading all the USB devices.
Oh, and I suppose the time out on the RAID display could be faster... :p:
The only Time Out option I have seen is IDE Detect Time Out, but I guess that won´t change your RAID time out?Quote:

In general, if you mostly boot from your hard drives, it's better to disable all other boot devices in bios (just have your hard drives sitting 1st in the boot order and disable the rest of the order and any other flash drive settings), if you want quickler load times into XP.

This small modification gave me 10fsb free

I`ll post those hot spots soon, becouse those are hidden.

OMG all those 40mm fans...
Could you please send me the 0005 BIOS?Quote:

My prio is performance, not silence...
That explains it all. U're deaf...
I remember those days and it's funny. When the day is over, and i'm trying to sleep. Sometimes, the sound of that 80mm Tornado haunts me and I have to towel down from the cold sweat.Quote:

I like being able to just turn on my PC, and put on some tunes without having to turn up the volume to STUPID LOUD levels just to hear the music and not my PC.
Yup, not gonna do that loud fan crap anymore.
I wont discus topic of my fans... for me it`s ok, so get off.
New bios: AI has correct temp.
Thanx to multi change i know that i need more vmch or vdimm(both will be ok too). Max fsb @x7 - 445 atm.
the problem with that addition to the board is that you lose one PCIe slot....for me, i had that problem when i installed a thermalright heatpipe chipset cooler...luckily i was able to turn it 180 degrees to allow both PCie slots to be utilized...i had two PCIe cards!Quote:

Is the 005 BIOS the latest and greatest for this board at the moment?
With that BIOS, 0005, you can change multiplier from x 6 to x 20.Quote:

Some weird behaviour though. With multiplier x 14 CPU-Z shows the Core 2 Duo logo, though I have a Core 2 Extreme.

winrar 3.61 benchmark and hardware test:
1536 kb/s cpu speed 3.6 ram 44415 7t
1197 kb/s cpu speed 2.66 ram 3438 2t
why no 1t command rate for intel chipset
this board rocks for 24/7 stability, nice....

You'll have to hold tight I'm afraid, I'm sure Asus will release it soon...
raju, what are your voltages for that clock, and btw, happy you like the board, nice stable board
been very happy with it myself
Can you at least tell us whats better since 307?Quote:

I am currently still using the 0004 BIOS with no issues, is there any real reason to go to the 0005 other than unlocking the multiplier???
