bump?
Tony not sure what you mean, kicked down to the lower rations fine.
I switched back to the DS3 at, for some compares.
Max benchable speed air on the AB9 so far 3.8Ghz 32m stable. I checked this morning already for beta bios in my email.
This board has bios 11 on it as well, checked my email this morning and nothing from Abit yet.
Not sure what version I previously had but there is a beta bios that we currently dont have. I should have pulled the bios chip from the board.
I have another board inbound from Taiwan as well. Max should be here in about two weeks.
! new bios? when you get it, can u email it to me?Quote:

What's max fsb on Abit9 Pro version? 400mhz?
still to early to say but with bios 11 anandtech hit 380 i think or it was 360.. bios is still in the early stages. I think after another 1 or 2 releases the ocing will get much better.Quote:

Thanks
thats not too bad. 350 isn't bad but it ain't good either. I was hoping for 400. I dislike gigabyte so I was hoping this was better. Maybe next bios?
Also try reseating the chipset cooler, it looks rather flimsy on the web pics. Also maybe put in a larger chipset cooler. my al8-v suffers from chipset overheating.
what FSB/MEM settings did you do to get 350??
Ooooh, MAX in two weeks. I want to see the results of that :D
is that it for the AB9 Pro review? :(
I wish we could get our hands on a new BIOS today or soon. I'm getting tired of waiting.
Ive sent several emails to Taiwan to get the beta bios not, sure what the holdup is.
This rig will breach 4Ghz on air with Mini Typhoon.
My AB9Pro come this day !! I will try with new bios from TICTAC beta version !
Cmon Abit... W00T... God i hope they start making some great stuff again...
problem for me is that i can only run DDR 533 mode (1:1) stable. I can run with DDR 667 but it's not 100%. forget about DDR 800.
With DDR 533, i can install and run Vista (64bit) fine.
i want that BIOS also.
P.S., i gave up on OCZ gold and got Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400PRO pack (that's the best my local store had).
Ugg...
Well hopefully they get it together... I still have a abit AS8 lol on a older rig here thats been running seti for like a year and a half i think i rebooted it once lol... O we lost power a few times too though...
How has the Corsair been able to overclock compared to the OCZ?Quote:

Some ram will not fire up at specific timing (Elpida/Infineon), this I can also work around by installing different ram(D9) and setting timing in bios to fire up, I also bring up the voltage.
I have ram that will work in one board but not the other as well, yet run flawlessly on 975X or RD600.
G.Skilltech said it was around 1.5v and I can believe that from what I have seen so far. I have not seen anything to 965 w/DDR3 support but 1.5v may be a side effect. Also mentioned was Elpida, I know Eplida is picky stuff and doesnt play well with others.
PC2 5400 XTC Gold fired up originally on the Pro and doesnt on this board. I believe this is Elpida based.
Both boards are find with Micron and Samsung DDR2, EPP best?
Tony, Am I crazy? You have more answers so point a finger. I say it can and will be fixed in bios. We know the memory is fine and to spec.
Fugger: which of the two boards do you like the best, the D3 or the AB9 Pro?
