If it was upwards... 10 degrees wouldn't hamper installation and at least it would be pointing in the correct direction for a sideways install.
Bowman solved this problem on the Baker evap I have by making the cover in 2 pieces, so I can take it off and turn it around and remount it....works well.

So you are telling me the evap isnt working as it should be then?

That means the mach 2 is designed so that the side panel HAS to be removed in certain cases because it wont go in then?:(
It wasnt that difficult to turn anticlockwise.
And i have seen may users mounting the evap like so :|
So whats is the problem having mounted the evap the way myself and others have done? :)

Actually these evaporators are designed to partially flood for best performance and best heat transferr wiht the evap mounted thusly it will not flood...

Relay switch, CPU delay timer....
With Barton 2.6Ghz@2.1v and radeon 9700@400Mhz it stays -34-35C full load.
