can you guys report in about issues like vcore droop FSB limitations and such you know the usual asus bullcrap.
vcore droop is something i absolutely hate. i need to see if its bad or not.
Wow, 4Ghz on air !?? What's up with that? Tom's Hardware and CPU Magazine both had to run water cooling to get this chip to that level.Quote:

Congrats on your 805's stellar performance:toast: . Give a few more details on your hardware setup (edit: I see you posted your setup in your sig).
Not true at all. goes from 100 to 450 or anywhere inbetweenQuote:

I dont bother with prime. Its a working machine. I run it as my web developemnt workstation / server all day, its running Server 2003, SQL Server 2005, IIS, coldfusion server plus music.Quote:

Just running 32M SuperPi to double check seeing as you ask :)
Question: Does this board support Crossfire only? Can a 7950GX2 run on it?
Is ASUS planning on releasing a similar SLI ready Motherboard?
Makes sense. I backed my 850 down to 3.4GHz because it's the highest setting that would pass Prime. I just hate buggy systems, so I'm leary to push it further.Quote:

dmm load: 1.559-1.560v
so thats a .026-.033v vcore voltage drop as read via dmm
Much better than past asus intel boards I have had, but not perfect.
New BIOS is supposed to address that issue:Quote:

If VCore is showing only Auto, try clearing the CMOS. This should fix the problem.
For anyone getting this board, I recommend clearing the CMOS before doing anything else.

new review here http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles...?cid=1&id=1958
"the board consistently performed slightly below the older P5WD2-E Premium in terms of CPU and memory subsystem, but it did come out ahead in graphics and game tests" ...a couple % below P5WD2-E
eh true. but its got one thing that d2 doesn't (at least not yet), c2d support aha. d2's got nothing on the dhQuote:

Yeah, it's one of the stepping 4, I think. I bought it about 3 or 4 days before AndreYang started selling his stepping 5s.
I ordered the Asus today.. Ill pickup a retail 6600 when they become avail since its only about 4 weeks away. Lemme know how your rosetta output is please.
I've used a couple of older BIOS files where this was never an issue. ;) And it only takes about ten seconds to clear the CMOS, even if it were an issue.Quote:
