Hehe Conroe E6600ES Stepping 5 is on it's way with 2GB G.Skill GBHZ DDR2-800 and a DFI Infinity975x air-cooled by Scythe Ninja. That's gonna be one hella nice system! Man I'm so excited, can't wait any longer!! :D
I'm really curious to see how it will perform in comparism to the new Asus P5W DH.
I want some more info of that 600 Mhz FSB, the gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 also has a 600 Mhz FSB option. But I want to know how high it will go for real.
On DFI's site it says this under product description:
only supports "DDRII-667 Dual channel supports"
so no DDRII-800? I'm confused
of course higher mem speed is supported...by raising fsb ;)
cool!
good results.
A few boards arrive in the USA next week, expect them to sell out fast so if you want one keep an eye on the stores DFI USA seem to push product thru the most ;)
I have one on the way from DFI TW and will report here what i find etc, I did see a new beta bios was posted today, so keep this in mind when you get the board in hand.

the 975X chipset does not technically support DDRII-667, however some motherboard manufactures provide it. Looks like DFI didn't add that dividerQuote:

I want to use a swifteck apogee block with this motherboard but on the photos it looks like those resistors right next to the socket will be in the way ?
Doesnt look like there should be a problem.
I too have the Apogee..
Im looking at this board, too.. So, hope it does fit :P.
Why are two of the SATA ports colored differently? Don't tell me two ports are on a Silicon Image chip?
Would you give me a hint which e-tailers you might have in mind?Quote:

Infinity doesn't but Lanparty will
