i saw that article earlier and wondered if that indeed was the "big" secret! Well, looks like I was right! That is unbelievable! Where can you get a sli bridge? :banana4:

whats "memory interleaving" ??
also running raid 0 and around 260fsb might cause it to cause some problems on ultra ?
for those of us in the US:

Great news indeed all we now is lower PCI-E card prices heh
seems reports that Prolink and Gainward 6600GT PCI-E cards aren't working in SLI mode on at least A8N-E. Someone over at OCAU forums flashed Gainward 6600GT's bios with MSI 6600GT PCI-E bios and now it works fine in SLI mode!
Waiting for the ultra-d (to do the sli mod)
I've got a pair of ADATA DDR500 on my UT 250Gb, so I'm going to sell them and buy a pair of OCZ but don't know wich ones
1024MB 2x512 Kit Rev.2 OCZ4001024 ELDCPER2-K 284,00 €
or
1024MB 2x512 Kit Voltage eXtreme 263,00 €
Either is good...i actually like low latency over high fsb speeds but either will be real fast.
I have fired an email off to DFI asking for a tweak in the bios to get EB and Hynix based dimms running a little better.Quote:

I second that. Thanks for looking out for us EB users :up:Quote:

Thanks for the info Bigtoe
Guys my EB does 275fsb on the dfi or so but i have seen as high as 290 on other boards so its only a slight issue...nothing to really worry about. i have spoken with the DFI guru's and they are looking into it ASAP...they have the ram so we should see a bios soon.
How much vdimm are you using?Quote:

Tony or whoever one last question. Does this board support the boot menu when pressing esc during post like on the NF2 boards. I found this much easier to change boot devices on the fly instead of always going into the bios before and after a change is to be made.
if I'm not mistaken, NForce4 only comes in PCI-Express flavors.Quote:

AGP is dead... throw away your agp card :slap:
get some PCI-X
PCI-E is for Graphics...PCI-X is used on servers

Tony,
Can you give us a screen shot of CPUZ motherboard and confirm that the chipset is a3, and not a2 as it seem on the Gigabyte product.
Hmmm... I think A2 is for nForce4-4x and A3 is for nForce4-Ultra and -SLI?
Killeroy.
Why in the name off god would they bring hypertransport of 800Mhz to the 939 Platform when it is a socket 754 standard? Move defective silicon for nvidia, to save them money so they don't have to toss it in the bin can?Quote:

no, as far as I can see they just don't want to throw 'em out. And why should they? I mean 800mhz HT vs 1ghz is nothing. So its not like its killing preformance.

Don't forget we are talking a duplex link here....400 Mhz on the way side, and no I don't like the idea of communicating with my processor at 800 MHZx 2 when it can do 1000 x 2!
