Great boblemagnifique,
:D now we want some of those pictures of some motherboards :D
more cpus and no mobos is just a waste....
Yeaah.. a waste of good chips just laying around!
Oh why can't they just start to ship the boards!?! Really want to see a nice little Yonah smash up to 4ghz and take PI WR :P
lol, change to title to:
"Competition: who finds a yonah motherboard?"
Kyosen won that already :)
Hopefully is ECS going to make us happy "again"
Yeah I hope they release a killer M/B.
Someone will know soon ;)Quote:

Hehe, I see alot of pics of cpu's but no mobo's. It will be the day when someone comes up with a pic of a load of mobo's.
Im not gonig to buy a Yonah till I got a mobo. Any news about the Aopen i975Xa-YDG? Thats the board I will most probs get at first if there is no other better boards etc...

Sweet!
Cooling and such?
Bogi --> Looks nice! I just recieved my single one.. ;) Its only an T2300ES.
http://www.tweak.dk/uploads/yonah_es.jpg
Dont know if the stepping can do any good, but we'll find out ;)
just bought myself a Inspiron 9400 with Yonah 1.83 processor and 1024mb 667 memory.
Let's hope it's here quicker than that motherboard :)
Still, I can't get how a 2.8 Ghz chip can do sub 22 secs of SuperPi 1M :D (and dream about actual availability of Yonah boards... Merom... Conroe... ... .... )
Someone at hwbot.org have made a team called T2600ES
What's this???
Have it entioned before and i didn't see it???:D
Its correct... i did make it in order to put results up :D
Kyosen what is holding the clocks....motherboard or something else?!?Quote:

kyosen, can you run PCmark at that speed? I'm curious to see how it compares to M
I have been without a desktop since october, three weeks is nothing baby!Quote:

Cmon 975 mobos
Like ive said before all over these forums im amd fanboi all theway, but these newer intel cores can sure make the dark side look way more inviting as the days go by..
fugger posted a think it was conroe @ 2ghz doing 25 sec super pi 1.5 :)
thats just amazing
I need 2880 just to break into the 30secs
29.5 to be exact

So I called up AOpen again this morning...
The rep said that they are expected to appear on Newegg.com on April 10. I asked if the board was still in testing/debuging. He told me that the board is final, and they are just preparing to ship out in the coming week. He also told me that the 945GT board will appear 2-3 weeks after the i975x-ydg.
well.... its has been said before :)
i think that was a merom, but pretty much the same as conroe minus 2mb of cache.Quote:

These are results by regular/retail T2600 instead of Yonah-ES.

Hmm...ICS954129 clock controler refused higher FSB setting by ClockGen...
I belive that CPU potential is enough.
BTW, it's expected that AOpen-i975 board will be available in next week,
here in Japan.
Live/running demo is already starting at PC shop in Akihabara.
I poked ECS again today on status for us. Waiting for update. I asked ECS to poke at Chris as well. We have ECS USA registered here now.
Looks like 05 is still an AMD test, very nice pifast though.
Well its getting serious bad here.... I really dont know what to do anymore :(
I hear ya on the HD stuff, I have a 4500 RPM drive on those tests too.
Any cooling on that cpu at 2.7?
Fugger how come you have the sample conroe board from ecs.. when the pf23 still isnt in our channels. :D
This really makes me scratch the back of my head.
> Any cooling on that cpu at 2.7?

Water, for me...yeah I know it's TOO enough;)
Cal930 achieved over 2.8G with normal air cooling,
and also one shop in Akiba is using air cooling for live/running demo at near 2.8G.
http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/akiba...75yonahoc.html
Im really hoping ecs would get the job done by time..
@kyosen,
Really great there allready running on the aopen. But 2.8 wont be the max on that board or is it?
Bogi has new stuff
http://home.arcor.de/16vbogi/dothan/...0start%203.jpg
haha wow... youre still buying Yonah's i see :D

Honestly any mobo will do right now just as long as its a desktop mobo. At this point most of these Yonahs are collecting dust:( I have a feeling that Conroe is going to make the boards with high clocks and under Xtreme cooling before the Yonah does. LOL nice rack! I never knew my tongue could hit the floor that hard:)
Hmm, I think your right, but aint much to do about it...Quote:

But hell, its an expensive hobby,:banana::banana::banana: happens, but this will truely mark AOpen as enthusiasts worst nightmare, permanent..
feel so upset, nothing we can do now.....
I think once the Aopen comes out things will change right away. But then there will be DFI next and lets hope they do something special:) Oh and we cant forget about ECS they are really pulling through for XS....
> But 2.8 wont be the max on that board or is it?

Now we can check the manual of AOpen-i975 mb.
ftp://asftp.aopen.com.tw/pub/manual/...xaydg-ol-e.pdf
On page 48, we can observe the jumper setting for FSB selection.
On page 67, they say "available option: 166~199MHz",
but printed image shows it has 100~333 setting range.
It's funny and strange...we must wait the board release to know what is true/actual.
Bogi, are you going to buy Meroms in equal quantities as Yonahs right now? :D I might then already say I'd want to order one from you ;)
About the boards, let's hope for the best... exactly one week of waiting to hear that Aopen has been pushed back yet again... :p:

Ok.. can he put a single/cascade/ln2 on it? weve seen air results... we really want to see what it would do on 3500mhz+

giga-byte cables, aopen board :P
Ah I see, but what I do want to see is 7900GTX SLI LN2 and Yonah LN2 :P
Ok, now the next question everyone wants to know here: did he buy the board and if yes, WHERE?
board was sent to a german magazine, tested by denis bode and returned to AOpen after the initial oc tests .Quote:

A difference of 884mhz and almost the same time, just 0.204s difference!
It is called ownage :D
And Conroe/merom will require even less Mhz :toast:

From wich user is that ?
dennis bode at hwluxx.
FCG's conroe thread already surpassed this yonah:)
That's some amazing stuff from Aopen...wonder if ECS has an answer to that.
Yes and the difference pins s479Quote:

Well, if we get that Aopen in the upcoming two weeks, I'd predict the fight who's gonna get the largest thread, Waus-mod or FCG, would not be over yet ;)Quote:

I've checked the demo system in Akiba, and confirmed that
the AOpen i975 board has FSB setting 200 - 255 in the BIOS.
<img src="http://222.151.185.113/c-board/file/AOpen_i975_BIOS_FSB.jpg">
so 3ghz is the max?? come on show us some dry ice ln2 benchs, this is getting boring....
thus the max fsb bios origin aopen i975xQuote:

The Clock Gen and SetFSB should be compatible quickly with this i975x I think, has to see from here the next days
sub 20 @ 3ghz is def impressive to say the least, I woulda thought lower with 25 @ 2ghz but still overall ownage, ORB better get ready to get ownd..
any new news on the Aopen board?
Lol, that would be a good one.Quote:
