I had an idea - the 110W power usage you used in your calculations above are based off the generic AMD stats, right? What if you used the values from the TCaseMax program instead? In my case, that would mean using 35W instead of 110W, which is roughly one third as much. This would result in a threefold increase in thermal resistance, to around .2C/W which is realistic on air. Of course, this correction ultimately depends on the reliability of the information provided by TCaseMax, and since I have no idea how that software arrived at 35W, I obviously must be skeptical of the result, especially since I agree with you that the temps do seem low. What do you think?
