would you take the fets off and connect it to that? one to each vdimm fet?
No you can solder the Vdimm cable on any output Mos-fet's leg........ ;)
I could solder the +5v rail there with equal ease. Vdimm is adjustable up to 4.0 in bios anyway.. Or get a new PSU that will allow for higher voltage adjustments. The antec has trouble with the 3.3 as it is. Or maybe the heatsinks have to go... although they really do help dissipate heat.Quote:

Sorry to be :slapass: but any ETA, driving me mad selecting 3.6 volts and getting 3.46 underload :stick:
Will the maximzer stop the board from drooping?
If I run s&m memory test the volts drop to 3.46 from 3.6 (using modded 4v bios) my 3.3 rail stays steady @3.69.
Im sure this is holding me VX back
Hipro, out of sheer curiosity, any ETA yet on when we'll be able to buy this product from you? :toast: :toast:
edit: BTW hipro as I said in my last post, I will buy it but the price (not trying to get you to lower your price, hell no. I feel that people who work and have products that are good should be rewarded for it, and thats it. but the price will scare off some newbies. although thats most likly a good thing seeing as then you'll have less newbs saying:
"hey your product blew up my ram you own my new ram" ( :slapass: )
but you get my point.
But btw, I DO get dibs on a unit seeing as I'm a reseller hu? :p: let all the others here wait I just wanna get my hands on it :D ;)
You sleazy little geek :p: :DQuote:

yes but above your boards OVP it will shut the board down. you still benefit from stable clean voltages untill the OVP. to get past the OVP you'll have to do a OVP mod
Thanks enzoR for your help........ :) :toast:
Some UPDATES :
The front panel of the DDR Maximizer as you already know has a silver or a black aluminium "face"......This face is holded by two screws....You can unscrew those two screws and do as I describe below.....
NOW on the production of the front panel we have NOT soldered the Led Displays and the two colour (dual) leds and the reason of not doing this, is that the user might have bought a Maxi with a silver face and in the future he may wish to a. change the front panel's colour (buy a black face) b. CHANGE the Led Displays AND the two colour leds with some BLUE ones(as for the Led Displays) and some BLUE/RED dual leds(two colour ones)......That's the reason that we did not soldered on the front panel the Led Displays and the dual leds.....There have been soldered some "bases" onto the front panel so you can unplug/plug the Led Displays and the Dual leds AS YOU WISH...... ;) :toast:
EDIT : The Blue led displays and the blue/red dual leds you will be able to buy it directly from the resalers of the DDR Maximizer as a kit......
EDIT 2 : There will be some (limited edition) DDR Maximizers with onboard Blue led displays and blue/red leds......of course those will be a bit more expensive that the "regular" ones due to the cost of the blue led displays/leds.....
Resellers? Do you have a distributor and/or retailers lined up in the U.S.? :slobber:Quote:

Thanks Jeff
Just reading through the manual, the Abit Ic7 series will need the VTT PCB, right?
^correct.
Thought so, cause you need to do a vtt mod when you do the vdimm mod.
so for boards like ic7, i would need an extra pcb besides the booster? or is everything included?
you buy the one with vtT pcb, or without, at least i think thats how its going to work.
so wat if i have a mobo that doesnt need the vtt pcb in the future? Would I need to buy another PCB?
Inside the package is included ONLY the DDR PCB......The DDR PCB+VTT and the DDR2 PCB are EXTRA parts for upgrade the Maxi.......We did so because we wanted to keep the final price as low as posible.......Our first thoughts were to include ALL three of them DDR PCB's but the price was a bit higher so we desided not to incude all of them into the package.....The DDR PCB+VTT and the DDR2 PCB will cost a few (perhaps about 7 - 12 $ - we'll see about their final price in a few days) and you can buy them from the resellers too......
U P D A T E......
After some reading - as a matter of fact a lot - DDR Maximizer is COMPATIBLE and it will work with the upcoming "DDR3" Ram technology..... ;)
Don't forget Cyprus anyway, not so far from yaQuote:

both he means. reseller is someone who re-sells them. I for instance am one for belgium, england, france ,netherlands and luxemburg+ germany maybe.
Retailer is a shop. but all people who resell are appreciated I think. because every thing we sell will benefit hipro so he'll just be able to keep producing subliminal hardware like this :)
damn! :toast:Quote:

amazing job hipro5 - do u have a reseller in denmark/scandinavia? i would surdently like one- but would it goe with my albatronpx875? ;-) if u dont know, i would love to test it for you ;-)
Basicaly a shop......But if a member of XS can do this in a legall way, then why not?..... ;)Quote:

Hipro, could you maybe put the ETA of the unit at the beginning of the thread so that people knew how long they still should remain drooling over this masterpiece :slobber: :D
Having a maximizer on my rig for benching/beta testing i have some more good news
There seems to be a problem with some (maybe) cpu/mems combo that cannot boot into Windows at 3.8++ voltages (using the DFI Vdimm supply)
This is no problem with the maximizer as i can boot at 3.7V and change the Vdimm inside Windows. pretty handy for hardcore clocking/benching
I just love to see smartguardian changing the Vdimm indication on the fly :D
SOLDQuote:

Wow this looks amazing, and while I doubt it'll be cheap ($150USD right?) the value from it being compatible with DDR2, DDR3, and possibly XDR more than make up for it!!
When will you be able to start sending them out HiPro? Will you be selling any to people in US or is this a Euro. only distribution?
i think 3.85V kills my boot to windowsQuote:

3.8V+ and i can't boot (using the DFI mem Voltage supply)
using the maximizer all users with this problem can use it to boot a lower voltages and raise the voltage inside windows ,and maximizer does this perfect!
sorry no tests for the time being, the bench rig is under construction again
hipro,
just wanted to say your MAXIMIZER is pure sex.
I'll take three :p:
Jaco, if interested PM me, I'm Reseller for the BeNeLux area and will also supply france and UK (on direct request only)
Once hipro releases his maximizers I can distribute them in the area
so in interested PM me
Sorry to be a pain in the :slapass: But any ETA yet? I have recieved some offers on my VX, Im willing to say no if this a week or two away if not by by VX ;)
Any updates on a release date yet Hipro?
My kit is dying to be over-volted :slobber:
Haven't heard anything in a while. Hope all is going ok.
Just got back from a week in barcelona (Lets go barca lets go ...(Barca vs. Albacete match, I went ,I Saw and I found it to kick ass  )
Nothing from hipro yet on my end.
I do think it's getting close to releasing. I have over $1000 worht of pre-orderds
So come on Hipro :)
This device should trigger OVP right ?
Yep it will, the ddr booster does this as well.Quote:

Its seems to me that when the board is new no one has problems with OVP execpt maybe over 3.6, then after a period of time the board starts getting boot problems.
I have found that you dont need to remove battery, just switch off all power to PC and leave for an hour or so. This boot problem then gets worse over time. Eventualy it just wont boot again (eg Gov's board)
I have bought a new board and will be running a Booster and not the modded bios, will see if this is better for OVP problems
;)
What is cool is that the MAXIMIZER changes voltage on the fly and safely when your computer is on.
So If you have OVP @ 2.9 Volts you just set to 2.9Volts, the desired timing (T) and away we go. Now do keep in mind this trick will only work if the board "listens" to the Vsense when booting and does nothing else for the rest? If it keeps listening continuesly it will not work unless you mod the OVP
jep, the maximer doesn't prevent the ovp from kicking in...Quote:

Any update on this?
I am custom building my case, and would love to make a custom area to mount this beast in :) (I know its 3.5 inch but I am looking at a custom installation).
Hope all goes well, this thing is going to rock :D
yhea Kinda interested to seeing an update also :)
Come one hipro :) how much paperwork can there be? ;)
Just let us know with a eta please :) and of course some pics of the frontplating or something would be nice to
:)
eta's are hard because while you want to give people a good idea about when they are ready, at the same time if you are wrong you come under much critisism...
though i myself wouldnt mind more pictures.
hope this awesome device will be found in my country, Malaysia.
Some update so as not to wonder what's going on....... :)
The cost of the DDR Maximizer so as to be built here in Greece was HUGE.......and when I say HUGE, I mean it.........IF it was finally going to be manufactured here in Greece as it supposed and started to be, then it would cost to the final user OVER 180+ Euros....... :(
So we desided to be built some in China and some in Taiwan..... ;)
.......be patient and we will make it........ :)
Good to hear, look forward getting one :)
man everything is built in asia because of that heheQuote:

Better some more waiting for a top-class product then a now-available POS-product :)
As long as it won't be Duke Nukem (waiting) Forever -alike, I'll be happy :D
Just read this entireeee thread. HiPro you are amazing and I think we are all now waiting for the Maximizer.
I didn't read the whole thread but this seems to be a great product imo.
But I have a question (could be someone already asked).
Is this maximizer compatible with all motherboards and when should it be in stores?
SuperB job Greek :p
HiPro if you aren't rich already, I have a fealing you will be soon.
thanks for the news Hipro
and Zmarr, the product isn't changing a bit, the location where it gets manufactured is :)
Wel good to hear from you hipro!
and indeed I figure this will AT LEAST set us back 2 months before we can play it it...
well look at it this way, when we get it, the weather will be getting colder= more OC fun :)
and after this DFI fiasco/scare, probably less mobo makers will be offering anymore high vdimms.
Thank you guys for your understanding............ :)
Don't forget that it'll support DDR + DDR2 + DDR3 technologies (a few changes were took place for DDR3) and maybe the XDR too (I'm still reading about that - whenever I've got some spare time).......So we will have it a long time so as to play with it......... ;) :)
Sounds very futureproof. :toast: Like everyone else, can't wait to get one.
hipro5 you've got pm
hey hipro quick question, I'm getting me a Xeon rig as gamer/ workstation just for my everyday usage, but keeping my ram, will your Booster also work on PC-DL Deluxe's? :)
Please tell me they do, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE :p: Then I don't have to Vmod my board to get more then 2.5Volts :slap:
Thanks for the update Hipro :D
I almost broke down and bought that "other vdimm thing"..... But then I decided throwing away money now only to want the maximizer later would be foolish
So heres to a successful rollout in a few weeks / months :toast:
Can't wait
so are these out yet?

In the begining there are going to be released about 500 units and NOT 300 units as first said, because Taiwanease companies work from 500 pcbs and up so as to get a semmi-good deal........So 500 units for a start........ :)
