2900Mhz is pretty good even for a R404a prom. I know another guy that can do 2800 w/ an R404a prom. Also a 2500+.Quote:

Has the pifast page moved or something?
Nope
Its posted up the page somewhere, but anyway Hexus
our host got hacked :( Awaiting for the owner to retern
off his hols to sort the damage to the sub domains at the
mo everything reverts to the hexus forums.
It will be back up as soon as possible and i'll let you know

Pi-fast V4.1 in zip format HERE.......
The download on the http://pifast.hexus.net site is in zip format
.. http://pifast.hexus.net/hexus_pifast.zip or just click the
download button off the frontage of the site.
Ops! My mistake! Thanks for the link.
Here is my old bench. xp1700 tbred@ 2784mhz wattachilled.
53.48 sec.

http://portfolio.iu.edu/skrska/piFast_data_53.48.png
I downloaded PiFast 43
And enteretd the following parameters;
0

10000000
1024

Is this the correct input? Hers my results but I'm not sure if I'm doing this right. I looked all over the Internet tpo discover HOW exactly to run the benchmark to no avail.
The specs below were attained at 225FSB, 2706MHz. Another thing how the heck do you take a screen-shot without it dissapearing? I lucked out below, by snaping it as the final figures were tallying. But I don't know If I'd have time to run WCPUID and take the snapshot"

I should be ashamed at myself. Studying Neurophilosphy, which is replete with philosophical essays about Connectionism, Physicalism, Mathematical Methods in Linguistics, Semantics , even Panpsychism. And I go and use a universal quantifier like all, for shame. Obviously I did not "look all over the Internet..." or i would have found that instruction page.
Someone ought to beat me with a copy of Aristotle's Doctrine of the mean. (but it's so heavy ouchy).
:p:
Thank you for that link.
OK here's the real deal. And it's not a pretty site (at least I don't think it is). I think I had everything disabled during this one, such as DSl etc.
*** Remember If you attempt to submit that to my
PIfast site I'll Reject it ;) ***
We use Pifast version 4.1 as a standard ;)
The Download in my site uses a batchfile with all the settings
pre-defined.
The one above your reply is your's, it needed no values to be entered and pauses for the user to take a screenshot.
Sorry if i'm being a bit OTT ;) just like to make sure
the correct version is used I get a lot of submissions
where people either quote the series computing time
by mistake or attempt to slip a 4.3ver in though it does
show up, as the time difference is rather different to
the expected norm.
Luckerly most of the cheaters are 99% hotmail users :D
so its even easier to tell
I finally got below the 60 second mark :D

Somehow it's not very stable above 2400mhz
2500+ 0330 XPMW and epox 8rda+ 1.1 vdd@1.74
Corsair TwinX LL 2x256
I totally see where your coming from. And I want to ensure i have the right version. In fact I knew 41.23 seconds was too good to be true. (by the way is 50. seconds good?)Quote:

What I still don't understand is cheating? Why the Hell would people cheat on a practically random system? I mean it's really for the individual to look at and say, "Oh wow, doing this, and adjusting that, produced such and such a result..." It's amazing when people lie to themselves? If you were giving away Porsche's maybe I could see the motivation for the cheaters to come out? It's almost lke those people cheating on the Folding results? What in God's green earth were they thinking? Cheating cancer fighting effort. I can't even be mean enough to say; "Karma will get their arse, and they'll end up expiring from the very same disease. Had they not cheated, perhaps one more legitimate cycle would have broke the code."
Anyway I do appreciate your setting up this whole thing so we can enjoy it, and measuere our success. Thanx ;)

Well this is not spectacular or anything, but it is a bench!
I just got a 1600mhz Pentium-M, 1gig ddr Sony Z1 VAIO notebook and it hit 80.14seconds! This thing is pretty zippy!
EDIT: My overclocking rigs are on hold right now as I'm starting school pretty soon and don't have much time for it--plus I'm hooked on star wars galaxies. :P
I'll be back later with (competitive) results I'm sure! :)

it certainly helped getting control of my Cas latency again ;)

time to burn it in for a few days to fix that :)

eg no 4, barton @ 2796 MHz with only 233 FSB getting sub 50:confused: . I would expect 51.5 sec or so.
I ran mine at 12.5x232 with 2-2-2-10 CPU Interface on and only got 49.99 sec :p:
Yeah well, if I run my benchmark on my Abit NF7-S 2.0 at 11.5x200 I get around 63.5 seconds, however a friend of mine has an ASUS A7N8X and gets 61.17 at 11.5x200Quote:

-I have to have a new valve on my Prommy to get some more R404a on. For now only going 4200. Look forward to se the power of your R507 system
Be sure to vakuum well before you fill it up. -And cool the compressor well, its gets hot. Danfoss tells me that it only can work for some time. But is that minutes, weeks or months? -they can't tell.

Place your bets :D
or Macci.. OPP have never been interested in Pifast.
I estimate that to do 45 we will have to do about p4@4500 mhz, its difficult even with better coling than modded-moddet-R507a-R404a-Prommylike something...But the comming Prescott vil sure do it -easy.
Like Bowman and Hipro5, I am also working on a better cooling system, its complicated and it takes time to do.
Better cooling and Prescott, at the end of the year, will make some damage to the Pifast list I think
;)
Prescott ALL THE WAY is the solution.....1MB cache..... :slobber:

Thanks m8 :)
your my next target btw :D
offtopic:
macci would you like to help me with my fx5900ultra to get the best out of the card ?
please contact me @ Bio_Blade@hotmail.com
thank you verry much:p:
man the MAX3 is prolly the worst 875/865 mobo I've ever tested. Using pretty much slowest bios settings I can not go any higher than 252FSB (5:4 divider)!? In 1:1 mode maxes at 220ish (Vdimm 3.2V.. does about 245 on p4c800 with similar volts/settings). Also Vdimm jumps up and down.. from 3.02 to 3.35V when bios set to 3.2V
So P4C800 is going back in and wont be takin it off until ASUS releases a new one :D
bioblade, just OC the hell out of it using either powerstrip or nvidia control panel coolbits, if you want 3dmarks set d3d settings to 'best performance' from nvidia control panel. When you OC go up like 5MHz a time and run 3dmark03 and see that you are not getting artifacting and that the score actually improves. Once the score starts to get worse you've OCed it too far.
You have to be fast cos I'm about to break the 46 sec barrier........ :DQuote:

You are closing in.. hope Prescott comming soon. I can't improve the 46.25. Same problem 1:1 unstable over 272-273 at Cas 2,5-6-4-3 ? (corsair4000). cas 2 won't work.
working on the cooling, it will be 2 high pressure cascade compressors. Cold side at -90 degree. Cooling-power 700w at
-50 and 130w at -90, with a Prommy head. (hope it can take it). The cooling is warm side R404 and cold side etan, R170a it can explode :flame:
Just ruin my gainward5900ultra:(
The best radeon9800 pro is also dead.
Now only a first realise Radeon going max 525/418 sad.
Call me if you get a Prescott ES ... I might get you a -90 cascade.
