Seems I should reinstall lost ~0.4s, or.... 0.2, but made a few improvements (tertiary timings)
Tried that asus memtweakit, which did not work, and then installed the ASRock tool, which didnt allow adjusting timings.... Removed both, but seems OS is a little hurt...
Anyhow, my effeciency in that ASUS tool is listed as 39000 for ram, not sure if it blows a little, or much :)
Also, perhaps I should read up on what the stuff I change actually means, no clue what C2 and C6 package actually is, only that C6 seems to be a little more effecient..
EDIT: Had to bump the maxmem alot, just to get this tiny improvement...

EXperience update; I get alot more consistant results when disabling hyperthreading...
But in my case, I tend to get crashes more rapidly, had to increase vdimm a tiny bit to get stability..
I showed this one to hicookie earlier, but think some of you might find it interesting...

^negative, nothing special. and its easy to remove the spreaders just torch them for like 2 seconds and they pop right off. :)
Yeah, just be careful when pulling them off. Would recommend you guys remove the epoxy on the heatspreaders as that stuff is not very thermally conductive. Corsair rely on the PCB copper plane at the top of the modules for thermal transfer rather than the epoxy.

No, don't replace the epoxy if you are going to be using the Corsair Dominator PCBs with those heatspreaders as the PCB copper plane acts as a good enough transfer interconnect. If you intend to use those heatspreaders with any other vendor module then removing the epoxy residue from the heatspreaders is worthwhile. It's not very thermally conductive and I found with my cascade that the PSC modules I used would not clock to DDR3-2600, as the transfer to the ICs was very poor, with the epoxy basically acting as an insulator. Cleaned off epoxy (epoxy with TIM did not work well) and used good TIM and my BBSEs cold bugged with the PSC ended up hitting DDR3-2600 at CAS 6. It will chip off with a screwdriver and then you can replace it with a decent enough TIM. Hopefully this will take all the guesswork and armchair supposition out for you guys.Quote:

Some absolutely incredible scores in here. I'm in awe at some of the ram clocks achieved and the incredible efficiency that's being shown in here. I knew 32m was a popular benchmark with extreme benchers but this is just something else. :D

I have noticed that AIDA is showing little difference in ram performance after I've adjusted timings. Latency especially barely moved from really loose settings to tight ones. :shrug:

If I have no rampot, can I just wrap up the dimms really well and insulate the board and pour on them directly? Maybe tinfoil?
In late July, I'm gonna sell off half of my AMD stuff, and bench my 2600K/MIVE for points, then sell it off too for MVG and 3770K, then I'll do this too.
