I had A2 and now A3. In my case A3 is much better and easier to OC but maybe this by rev of the board itself A1 vs A2. Or even my previous A1 board (with A2 chipset) could've been just random bad one.

Normally you should get the newest with NB Rev A3. These should perform slightly better when using very high FSBs

I am having extreme difficult time getting any RAM OC stable on my JR.
My E8400 does 4500MHz Small FFTs stable, and i have testet my board to 500FSB again Small FFTs stable.
But my RAM fail no matter what, the are fine when BIOS is 100%std. and they seem fine at 400FSB 5:6 = 480MHz which is the ONLY stable OC-setting i can run them at and that is pretty f-ing wired!
When running them 480 the ONLY thing in BIOS changed is FSB, no voltage no timings nothing.
I have tryed everything, volts (NB,SB,VTT,GTL,VCore,VDimm) and timings (not sure here, there are a lot of subs in the BIOS i dont know, what i dont know = auto ;)).
What the fudge could be wrong?!
the board can be very picky on RAM, I mean sometimes veeery, so :
set 400/800 divider
skew models at 3-3-1
all clock fine delays to "more relaxed"
T2 dispatch DISABLED and ENHANCE TRANSMITTING & ADDRESSING to "normal"
it may help memory clock higher but it blows some performance
(dont know exact names in BIOS since I am 100 miles away from he board, but I tryed DICE & SuperPI and clocking some memory can be hell with the board, but you get incredible efficiency)
Ok ill try that, one notice i have tryed woth OCZ PC8500 (D9MGH), Ballistix (D9MGH) and Dominator 6400 (ProMOS), and none of them are any good.
But here is something wired again, befor i tryed any of that i drop alle GTL values to a minimum with VTT 1.1 and got this:

It is prime stable, but when ever i shut down my system or reboot, when it starts up (coldboot and reboot) it allways tells me "Overclock failed" and i have to set the FSB again, eventhoug it has primed for over 5 hours (3 in the screenshot).
Help... Yesterday my mobo stuck with 96 error code. What happen with that? In my monitor, screen stuck with "Backup CMOS..." and in mobo led stuck in 96 code.

No, it could be the variation of the memory chips on the sticks. Just like CPUs, they have different voltage/speed envelopes. In DDR3, with Intel current Core i7 voltage requirements they are binned for speed AND voltage. Some that do well at 2.1v, may draw more current than others, TTBOMYU.Quote:

Im having a few issue overclocking atm. Am trying to boot past 3.4GHZ on my Q6600 but PC doesnt post. PC is Prime95 stable at 9x356 (3.2GHZ) but at 372 fsb it crashes, whereas 371 fsb is fine :/?
I have tried both 812 and 1003 BIOS but no difference.
These are the settings I have been working with;

Hrm so I picked this board up for my e8600 and a few things.
1) I've updated bios to the latest
2) PCI-E slot #1 runs at 8x not 16x
3) This board is extremely finicky with overclocking. Where I could get 4.6 on my p45 Biostar I can barely break 4.3 on this guy.

With D812 and DA07 i couldent get ram stable at any overclock only at default BIOS settings. Volts and timings didnt make any difference at all, but im not very much into the sub's, other than waht i mentioned abov.

This appears to be flipped or is my understanding of this setting incorrect. My chip needs 1.34 to be stable at 450FSB on P5Q Pro (Needs 1.34 under load). I am able to hit this on the DFI but I have to Disable Vdroop to be stable.

There is such problem: when I load a video card with game or the program (Video Card Stability Test, OCCT) occurs a procorf on 12в to 11.47 ~11.55 volt. Now my memorydoes not want to play when it reaches anything above 1280MHz, is there some kind of a trick to ease the pain on the memory and make it go higher? Easing timings to 6-7-7 does not do so much.
Can someone share the bios setting of DK P45 T2RS Plus with 4gb kit memory + e8x series processor? I used Gskill GPBK 4 gb kit with E8500 E0 stepping and still can't hit the "magical" number of fsb: 500 :D
May be there is some kind of fsb hole (it happens), try going straight to 520-580 may be? Had similar experience with the UT P45.Quote:

Anyone with DK P45-T2RS and a 9800GX2? My EVGA 9800GX2 SC doesn't work on that mobo if i overclock it. At default settings i get a post buf if i overclock my CPU, it resets on starting windows :mad:
GPU: Stock settings, PCi E: 100 MHz, mobo's external voltage for VGA (like old Abit AW9D Max) plugged. Just CPU oced...
Bios 10/3. Recently, my stable oc'd is 425x9.5 primeable for 15 hours. When i was punched to 450*9.5, it gave me many error such as no boot at all or sometimes got restart itself within the OS desktop.Quote:
