@ lowfat - my friend had a desk like that, it shattered into tiny pieces cos of a hot cup of coffee or the sunlight hitting it and heating! his only had a ornamental dish of fruit and flowers on it. i would hate to think what would happen to the monitor etc should it ever shatter.
the glass is intended to shower into tiny pieces to prevent injury, say if you ever fell on it. i wouldnt trust it, no matter how hardened or toughened it claims to be. my friend paid 600 euro for his, top quality - my ass

The tv was dirty as hell. This piano finish on the surface is a real dust magnet.
Also i have two budgies in my room, so a good cleaning every day is a must.
