do you reckon they are gonna release the dts version of this driver soon c_fun?.
can any of you guys heavily OC'g your P5Bdlx try a suspend/resume? My E6600 based system won't successfully resume from suspend at anything over 2.9 ghz, even when I can stabley OC up to 3.4 ghz.
For those who got fsb wall and curious bout it (im a noob) and dont have another cpu/mobo/mem to find out why this is happening, hope this helps

anyone having problems with the 4:5 divider on their P5B dlx motherboards? :slapass:
I tried all the bios options even the 804 but somehow cant seem to find a answer to this.
My ram does over 500 2:3 but at 4:5 even at 500 its not stable
2grimreaper,
just run 1:1.
Running a higher mem freq doesnt give u more performance.
What does DTS contain?
I know its something about surround sound. I have 2.1 speakers, and the only thing i do is gaming ( so= no mediacentre/ cinema pc).
I havent enabled it, do i need to enable it?
-sound driver= I am using 4570. I amnot expiersing a --long--- slow boot, the only issue is 2 me= crackling. I will download 4580 when it is officially released by asus.
These days i ll sale my E6300, i am going to buy a E6600, i hope i ll get some g00d results :P
any news on pcie@1X problem ?
thats still there not fixed :slapass:Quote:

My last over clock was on my last pc a AMD 3200+ XP with a Asus A7N8X and Geil DDR ram, so it has been a while.
I followed all the settings provided by FCG, except the FSB Term. Volt., NB VCore, and SB VCore, and the PCI Express Freq. Those are on auto, and 100 for PCIE Freq, as well as the ram is at the stock voltage of 1.9v. Those settings seem a little more dangerous to max out
I have been able to oc to 400x8=3.2GHz. This is only an hour of dual Prime95s stable. My temps are 45c idle, and 60c load. I have a Zalman CNPS9500 HSF. My CPU voltage 1.280. I am running the latest bios version from Asus 0804.
The question I ask is what should I do, bump up voltage, if so what settings, or should I drop the FSB from 400 down to 388 or 375?
might want to read up...Quote:

I have been struggling with this issue since day 1. Thats the only reason i plan to move up to a ASUS Stryker Extreme or atleast a 680i mobo, because these kind of :banana::banana::banana:ed up dividers are a real PITA. Hope ASUS gets their act together and fixes these.Quote:

I had the sound problem until the beta drivers and now they're fixed. Big thanks for that one :)
quick noob question, why is that cooler for the heat pipe only for passive or water cooling?
set the FSB to 401 ;) also bump up the Vcore just tiny bit more it should be fully stable in orthos :DQuote:

OK, I tried the newer sound drivers. Yes, the boot time is definitely better, BUT there is still a feeling of slowness. Completely uninstall the drivers and disable in BIOS and you'll be very surprised at the difference between even these new drivers and none at all.
So, I installed an audigy SE that I got new for $16 and wow-much better. No speed problem, perfect response in Windows . Problem are gone for $16-$20. The sound is MUCH better. I did quite a long audio comparison and I can say the $20 Audigy SE completely blows away the onboard sound in low-end bass response and clarity in the highs. It is a VERY noticable difference. Don't even waste your time with the onboard sound on this mobo-it is absolute crap. Drivers can't fix something like that - it is what it is (CRAP.)
Amazing a $215 board has sound this bad. Amazing.
I have a similar feeling thats why i said it isnt 100% perfect, looks like they took care of the PnP or whatever conflict there was at boot time. or at least most of it.Quote:

I think this is still an imperfect job. and i might try your solution and buy an Audigy. (or i might just disable the "click" for start navigation in windows sound system, but still there is that "feeling" something wont be 100%.
i dont have a sound card to test it yet.
hi,
i have a 7900 GTO and 1 have one question.
If i put my 7900GTO in the blue pci-e slot, it is pci-e x16. But if i put the same 7900GTO in de black pci-e slot i will get x4(single card). But in the manual it says 2x pci-e x16. How van i activate pci-e x16 on the black slot?
I have a 07xx bios, maybe it helps when i update tot 0804? Or is it just not possible?
I want this so i have more place for my pci cards.
And can someone that has the p5b dlx not in a case, make a photo of the other side of the board, aspecially by the cpu(which you normal place (with big coolers) a back plate)? thnx
you can't
black pcie is only a 4X one
Asus made en error in the manual
My only other concern is the temps I have been getting. I am running a Antec P180B with a Zalman CNPS9500 HSF. When I had the chip clocked at 3.2 it was at 45c idle and 60c load. Bumping up the vcore will only increase the temps. Am I still in a safe range? 60C is when running two prime95s, and 3DMark05 at the same time.Quote:

And a spcially at the socket holes( i want to check if a cooler fits with backplate)? thnx
(i couldn't find one in google)
