F3h seems like it gives me a little bit more efficiency in super pi 32m. I'm still tweaking ram right now with F3h and taking notes. I'll load up F3c later and compare.

you already know about the no-execute memory protect trick right?
Sure do. I didn't have any gripes about efficiency anyways but I *think* there is a small improvement with F3h. I'll know more later this week when I'm done testing.
Its in this post by Dinos22: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=231
3rd image from the bottom...
yup its in advanced bios features menu. Its on almost all GB boards.
thanks mates didnt know that :)
I think dinos said its only really helpful for super pi.
Had time to play with F3H has all the the best traits of the good bios , but vcore still the same with llc1. I set in bios 1.460 but on load , the vcore drops to 1.416 wish it wouldn't drop so much , making me keep a 0.50 higher vcore for higher multipliers
but the board was a little flaky before with my elipda hypers at 6 6 6 18 and would boot twice when cold , now boots first time every time
later today come in my GSKILL F3-17000CL7D-4GBXHD these should be fun :D
to be honest software is TOTALLY off, LLC level1 actually is very good voltage regulation.
look at standard and LLC level1 compared to easytune and DMM off the MLCC caps.

I would like to know why the option HOTKEY OC is not available.
There should be a button - "Set Profile Hot Keys..." as shown here: http://www.gigabyte.com/microsite/207/hot-key-oc.html
how to activate it?

Thanks Sergio . . should be fun to be back on the gskill coaster , hopefully this start right up since they're binned
wow so the software is off  so my 1.460 is really 1.461 or something , nice test Sin0822 , saved me from bringing my tester out. . . I see myself using a vcore 1.500 to do anything higher than 4.8 . . . how far off is llc2 you thinkQuote:

Sin, can you test B3 board for UD5 ?
Because software (Hwinfo32) is not that off on this one (0.02v higher than on ud7)
(1.25v BIOS LLC standard -->1.224v idle, 1.164v load on UD5)
That's assuming if yours was 1.25v bios standard, UD7 would report 1.204v idle 1.144v load (guesstimation)
I understand. I can go into bios, set all required parameters then reboot but I would like to use HOTKEY OC.
This option is shown on the GB website. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=3761#ov
Sometimes it can be useful and can save some time.
I would add that it works very well for X58A-UD7 2.0.
of course! yup wprime
hmm i am not quite sure, i do not have that board, but if you have a digital multimeter, I can show you how.
haha your 1.46 is more like 1.48. LLC2 results coming soon.
Hey a little more LLC readings for you guys. Please do not trust software. I have been asked to do this for a range of voltages from 1.35v to 1.5v so I will do that in a 0.5v increments so that those of you WITHOUT a DMM or are a bit too scared to use one may be able to correctly set voltage to your CPUs. its a bit of work and i got a few other things i gotta do first, but i will do it!
Anyways please notice that software once again is WAY off, also notice LLC Level2.
