yes everest is 100% correct

According to everest and speedfan, my board doesn't overvolt like yours. I'm at +.4V in the bios and get 2.21V ... difficult to do better. :)
I am having some issues with the vdimm, really weird:
+0.2v --> around 2v vdimm
+0.3v --> exact value like just 0.2v... weird
+0.4v --> around 2.2v
So, why is +0.3v not working at all? or maybe the bios doesn't read it correctly? i need those 2.1v dammed...
So? you mean i can't ask for a solution or if anyone has the same problem?
i need 2.3v my first board gave me 2.34v mushkins lovin volts but only warrantied till 2.35 n board givin me 2.389v@+4
as long as i got some sort of warranty i'll pay rma shipping but still a hassle
too bad x38-dq6 suked but i liked voltage options
Here in germany we have only mushkin, corsair and a lot of other expensiv sticks with d9 chips. Only 1gb rams is cheap, a 4gb kit with 2 sticks are expensiv. I want a kit for 150euros or cheaper.
d9 sticks are oversized for my system but my default clock is 3600mhz with 450mhz. Thats boring settings for a d9 stick :D
My e6750 runs better on the gigabyte p35c-ds3r as on the asus p5b. I like my new gigabyte
You can't order Crucial from Germany? Have you tried it?
So, which is the best bios for overclocking the P35-DS3R at the moment ? :)
Tried F7d bios for gigabyte p35 DQ6, still no actual voltage readings in health status. Also looks like they reverted back the Vcore sensor/voltages to more closely resemble F6bios. Ie, in F7b bios 1.4625 gives 1.456 in Cpuz idle and load. In F7d bios 1.4625 gives 1.44 in Cpuz idle and 1.424 load (dont know if exactly same as F6, but more similar to F6 than F7b).
I flashed back to F7b, I will await final F7 since I dont plan on updating to Penryn until jan anyways, and I only want to find my orthos stable voltage one more time. Wish they would find a voltage/sensor scheme and stick with it. It does not help/hurt overclocking either way, just makes me spend time to find exact voltage again.
With F7d on my Mobo the moment I hit 1.6v from BIOS I can't even get to starting windows..... but when I move it a notch down to 1.59*** everything is ok.... Yeah and why the hell above 1.6v there are only 1.8v and 2.0v ? 0_o
Same here on my DS3R with F6/F7/F8/F9 bios. I can set max of 1.59xxx V (1.55v idle / 1.51v load) which sucks ass. If i set it to 1.6v it won't even start windoze. No way i'm gonna try 1.8/2.0... Why the hell did they put 1.8 / 2.0v in there and not 1.6-1.7v?
Wish i read more about it before buying it otherwise i would've been on an Asus or something instead. Vdroop is also crazy on this mobo.
The problem was I want a 2 stick 4gb kit. In germany we have only one crucial kit with 2 sticks and this is a DDR533 and it cost 130. Crucial kits with 4 sticks are cheap but I donīt like 4 sticks but my gigabyte and the asus donīt run with 4 stick.
My second problem was that I drive to the next city on friday because my asus was damaged. And I send it to asus, and the shop donīt have a lot of rams. And its a little bit expensiv.
My g.skill ram is not the best of the world but he is ok :) And he was cheap :D I think 450 5-4-4-12 2.0v its ok :)
Riverna, order it online. You'll find much better prices.
Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB DDR2-800. Most likely will do 1066MHz like the more expensive 8500 kit... Starting from 66€.

Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB DDR2-1066. Starting from 92€.

Buy two sets of the first one I think you may do better than 2x2GB 450MHz :)
I've seen good comments about ALTERNATE and HPM-Computer. 4x1GB may not be 100% but I think with this Crucial RAM your chances of better OC is higher. There aren't good 2x2GB kits for overclocking...
I've been in Germany last July and bought most of my hardware in Munich. 15-20% more expensive than in US but waaaay cheaper than in Brazil. I would order everything online but I didn't have enough time to receive the items.
The memory was expensive for US/EU prices: 180€ for one OCZ 2GB kit. Still, it was less expensive than in Brazil. Too bad it failed after 3 months. RMA'ed it and received new OCZ D9 RAM back. Do not fully regret buying it.
I've booted 1.8 Vcore, works fine on a P35 DS4 F8 BIOS. DDR2 volts are bad though, +0.5V gives 2.2V and as you increase they get lower and lower (BIOS vs REAL). EasyTune shows diffrent volts to Everest though.
Same here. :(Quote:

I've booted 1.8 too today. It showed as 1.76v in the bios but i couldn't get it to load windows at all. It just sits there when the OS list is supposed to appear doing nothing. Same thing at 1.6v. Not gonna try 2.0v :D
I've emailed gigabyte about it. Could you get into windows at 1.8v btw?
Is there any problem to downgrade a bios on gigabyte boards (dq6)?
Want to try the latest bios!
I now have the F4 bios...
:D
You mean a black screen right? I get that with high VDIMM or high mem clocks only (above +750). 1.412V BIOS shows as 1.392V Windows, 1.376V load -> which is very bad.
Sorry bro I meant I could run windows as normal with 1.8V. Not tried higher, it'll damage the chip above subzero, I'm pretty sure of it.Quote:

Cornel: You're only usually meant to try a new BIOS if you're having problems with an older one, so if you have something older working good, it doesn't really matter.
The problem is overclocking...
