I read a lot of reviews on Newegg where people were complaining about getting one good stick and one bad. I must have been lucky because both of mine are fine. What you need to do is run memtest on one stick at a time to find out which if not both is defective.
how are u guys cooling the ram on this board ?? i used to use a corsair cooler thing over my ram on my 680i board but now there is no space on the badaxe II .. due to the videocard almost touching the dimms
any help would be appreciated
I just use the heat spreaders that came pre-installed on my ram.Quote:

2 months already with my BX2 and im really loving it. Without a doubt, it is the best 975x MB, but could be much better if intel unlock de multiplayer option in BIOS(i want it running 3.2@stock volts than @3.6 with 1.475).
I have 3 question to ask for you guys.
1- Any reported problem using 4 sticks of ram?
2- If no reported problems, can I have 2 sticks with elpida chips and 2 with micron chips? Already have Patriot 2x 1gb DDR2-1000(Elpida) and planning to buy Team Xtreem 2x 1gb DDR-2 667 (micron). Both can do 4-4-4-12@2.2v for elpida and @2.0~2.1 for micron. Any problem running it @ 9x400(e6600)?
3- Stand by mode, stoped to work properly after format. Any idea to fix it?
Thx for the one who can answer me
Runnin 4x1024 OCZ ATI Cert mem, no issues, cept with the X-FI card, otherwise it out to be fine....
U still can use the dominator cooling on the bx2 , really close to video card but it workQuote:

I have a few RAID questions - The only way I have ever set up RAID is during a Windows installation. I currently have two 74GB raptors set up on the Marvell controller and they contain my OS. I want to set up two more harddrives on the Intel controller but I dont want an OS on them - is this possible? If so do I set it up from windows on the marvell controller somehow or through bios? The reason I want to do it this way is because I do a lot of big file extracting and files extract a LOT faster if you extract them to a different drive. If I set up my two new harddrives on my current array it will detect it as one big single harddrive instead of two seperate and wont help my extracting speed...I think.
You can mix and match to your heart's content. Both controllers will support mixes of drives in an array and standalone drives and the BIOS will support booting from any of them.Quote:

In BIOS, set the Intel controller mode to RAID and reboot. You'll get a new Intel Matrix BIOS prompt where you can press Ctrl-I and create your array. Reboot again and go back to the BIOS boot order menu and make sure the marvell array is still set first in the boot order. Boot to Windows and install the Intel drivers and you should be good to go.
Great thanks again for your help. :toast: I was hoping that would be possible. I just wasnt sure if I could install the drivers for the intel array from an OS on the marvell array. RAID confuses the hell out of me sometimes. :rolleyes:Quote:

I have a bout a 3mm or so clearance from my card, fiddle with it a lil bit and you should be fine, if your worried about something conducting just use a thin rubber pad and place it between the card and you should be fine. the card I have is a X1900, I can post some pics to show if you need.
I also have tons of bsod with my X-Fi :(Quote:

Creative has left us stuck with that issue, with no fix to be seen if ever.....
For me, if there is no problem running 1:1 @ 400MHZ 4-4-4-12 or 5-5-5-15Quote:
