I MISSED FEDEX. They might try to send the driver back, I called them and tried to do anything I can so I don't have to wait until Monday.
I always go UPS because they offer same day will call at night and they deliver on weekends. Blah. We'll see if I like fedex or not depending on how today goes, lol.
You can always just go pick it up at the distribution center.Quote:

Opteron 165 CCBWE 0546 MPMW ( 0546MPMW )
Got it running 8+ hour dual prime stable so far at 2.8ghz and 1.5volts on water cooling,,,
gonna do some more testing when I get off of work but its already responding leagues better then my opteron 170 0543TPMW,,,, for me the TPMW stepping was crap and couldnt get past 2.7ghz even with 1.62 vcore,,,
so far so good with this stepping,,,,
My 0550 UPMW is currently at 2526 @ 1.4v (1.375 in bios). Temps around 31 with dual prime. Im going slow to make sure everything gets burned in, my motherboard is relatively new also.
Wow get this...Quote:

(Believe me, I won't miss him but I signed it anyways.) I asked if they offer will call so I could pick up the package tonight and he told me they didn't.
2:30 I call Fedex to check the status of the re-attempt, wondering if they got through to the driver or not. This woman answers the phone. (I'm literally STEAMING F***ING ANGRY AT THIS WOMAN.) She says it is not in the system and it is too late to schedule a re-attempt. I explained I already placed the re-attempt request and I'm calling to check the status. She wouldn't even call the driver to verify any chance that it may not have updated in the system yet. She was lazy, unhelpful and unprofessional. She says I can come in at 7:00pm to get the package, but the place closes at 7:00pm. At this point I'm entirely confused and aggrivated.
2:35 I call Fedex again, unsatisfied with this customer "service" (or lack thereof). This woman is amazing! She placed the re-attempt, gave me a case number- took down my info. She told me the best way to go about will call, everything.
33% Customer Service.... I'm sticking with UPS from now on.
Where is yours from?Quote:

Sweet! Hurry up and throw that baby in and get to overclocking! I got mine down to 1.46v gonna prime tonight for some burn in action.:stick:Quote:

Do you think I should gently prime it and push it higher and higher- or find the point of stability at 1.5-1.6 and then try to burn it in and reduce volts?Quote:

Did you get your cpu yet :)Quote:

So push it up as high as you can go on default and start from there.:stick:
I'm showing 36^C under dual load at stock voltage dual priming at 2385 (9*265).... case is on its side with TT Big Typhoon blowing directly up and out of the case.....
120mm Intake At Front
120mm Exhaust At Back
80mm Exhaust At Top
I did a pretty good job putting a nice thin layer of AS5 and tightened the heatsink down pretty nicely- but do these temps seem a bit low to anyone else?
Ambient is no hotter than 23^C... I'm guessing it may be lower.
just got myself an opteron 170 0543TPMW
got it up to 2.6 at 1.41, ran a complement of 3dmarks01 and 03, superpi, Sandra, and half an hour of prime, all before my graphics card magically died.
Now I'm running off of the integrated 6150 video on my board and priming away at 2 GHz and 1.15 volts, beauty of it is that with both cores 100% loaded the temperature is 31 degree using stock cooler.
Also my batch number is 0408, anyway to tell if this is generally a good number?
Looks pretty good, altough, your temps may go up by a pretty good amount once you start to apply some voltage.
The only way to be sure is to overclock it and hope for the best.Quote:

Well.... I'm using 10 minutes dual prime (SP2004: Small FTT - Stress CPU) as a quick stability test. What test do you guys use to make quick adjustments to your CPU speed?
I have the LDT Multi at 2.5 and a 1/2 Divider to rule out just about everything but the CPU itself.
165 0550 UPMW passed at 9*275, I could get in to windows at 9*285 but it would crash just after. Testing 9*280 right now... all at stock voltage.
I use prime and usually let it run for a couple of hrs. to see if it crashes if it doesn't then I raise the OC a bit and start over. I got really lucky with this chip, booted up at 2.7 on default vcore and went from there.
You booted right away at 9*300 with voltage and special at auto and it primed fine for a few hours?Quote:
