It works perfectly, but depends just as much on the PSU manufacturer as the tools themselves. Some are a lot easier to remove than others, corsair's always seem to be difficult for me.
I never cut and crimped myself, so i can't comment on that. But i suppose it would also help having the exactly length of cable you need without excess.

[Impressions]: I prefer the tigther weave of the MDPC-X sleeving and actually the CleanCut Sleeving is not bad either. The NZXT extension for the price is not bad for someone who doesnt want to pay the price premium of the MDPC-X sleeving and time it would take to sleeve it.

That actually looks really good for the price/ease/not voiding PSU warranty. Thanks for the comparison!

Nils, I got my order the other day, thanks for all the help! I've only sleeved a SATA cable so far as I'm still deciding on whether I really want to sleeve my Seasonic 700W or just drop some coin on a new PSU. :shrug:

but if I where you and I would had some coins to spend I would drop some to get a nicer psu. Silverstone maby :shrug:

I did the two wire/sleeve on my first PSU - actually found it a bit tougher to "manage" the sleeved wires in the case compared to uni-sleeving.

Thanks, and I agree it's actually stiffer than uni-sleeved cables. Ah well. Appreciate the feedback anyway. :)

Some, although it was meant for a new graphics card. But if I want a high-end single or dual graphics card, I guess it makes sense to get a PSU first. Otherwise, it's kind of like putting the cart before the horse.

I swear MDPC-X sleeve is like an addiction. You buy so much and then Nils and Crys1s_Gam3r come on here and post pics like that... :rofl:

Hey Crys1s_Gam3r,

Your sleeving is sick man... I'm amazed how you fit the heatshrink into the square slots on the molex connectors. I had problems with doing it. You using a heat gun on the entire heatshrink or do you go over the one that gets inserted into the connectors an extra time?

I know the feeling exactly. :) I just placed a large order, and am now kicking myself for not ordering more colored sleeve ;)

Thank you! :) I heat the heatshrink in one rotating pass with the "1000 F" temp setting on my heatgun. Before it completely cools, I insert it into the connector until it clicks.

Are you using MDPC heatshrink? Other heatshrink I've used has been too thick, and was unable to go into the connector (even with my method above).
