Ok, I´ve tried all Auto less FSB and multi (499*6). Super Pi 32Mb was fine, a bit slow but stable. I see PL13, very high. Anyway I let u a screenshot of my values.

Any tip about manual settings?
I am thinking to sell my tracers.
I'm not enjoying the performance of them in this mobo. :shakes:
I blew some chip on mine right here,
I think this might be my prob. Any one know what this chip does?
hello
i have a problem with this motherboard...
no pass 400 fsb with E2180, specifically no video signal

Its 6 hours prime blend and small FFT stable.. the only small issue i have is sometimes windows wont shut down and will stall on the shutting down windows screen it happens only intermittently.. Im pretty happy with this OC to 3.2ghz its fast enough for me.. my question is should I bother changing these voltage settings as it seems pretty stable? Maybe go lower on VID or PLL? My temps are in the mid to low 50s depending on the ambient air temps.
Thanks for the help
Thanks Leeghoofd
The thing with the CPU is
Stocked CPU's : 6600,6700,9300,9550
1st stock date "Unknown" : 9450
That's why , in this part of EU is kinda hard to lay hands on 9450Q and ordering from abroad isn't exactly what I like to do, building of my dealer is in front of my doorstep [ Yes , Exactly, I admit it ... it's lazyness ]
G.SKILL and Mushkin Modules, aren't available here
And those Raptors, i had 2 old 150 GB Raptors and the issue wasn't the capacity i had enough free space [ download -> store -> burn on DVD -> delete from HDD ] and I kinda love Fast HDD's and Raptor series will be rator series, i know the new Samsung is good, but it's not raptor is it ...
Well if you don;t mind you can help me to pick a suitable board for me from here http://www.czechcomputer.cz/cat_tree...y%5CSocket+775 , thanks
Anyone know what CPU Margin Enhancement is? It's a new setting in 1102 in P5Q-Dlx
Also...anyone having issues with Sleep in Vista with 1102? After the upgrade from 901, it stopped working. It freezes

Hello guys,
I've been following this thread for some time now, since I own a P5Q Deluxe (BIOS 1102 now).
Thanks a lot to all contributing/posting members, you've certainly teached me a lot.
I came from a P5K Premium, so this is a whole new world for me.
I know there is no rule of thumb but does anybody know what probable maximum FSB is achievable on this motherboard with a QX9650?
I mean for 24/7 usage.
My main activity is Folding (12-14 hours a day) and some gaming too.
My actual settings (12h Prime95 Blend stable):

If I try going up to FSB445 for example, and RAM at 1070MHz, Prime Blend fails after aprox. 50 minutes on one core, with a rounding error.
Prime Small FFT's works fine for more than 6 hours, so I suppose that I don't have any CPU OC-related problems.
It's curious that even at FSB450, F@H SMP Client 5.92beta corrupts no working units, but Prime Blend fails very quickly...
My memory doesn't seem to overclock a single MHz, and that really annoys me. :shakes:
Any suggestions on this would be deeply appreciated. :D
Take care,
Miguel
Well I think when I shorted it it screwed up the bios as well that are right by it because I see weird images every now and then at the boot screen when I turn it on and my temps are hella wrong to now. I am getting 47c idle and there is no way that is right when two days ago they were 39c. Nothing has changed and I just put new gunk on it and lapped it the other day as well.
Hi folks .... I'm away in vacacions but my "little bug" still drives me here :D
Any performance improvements with the 1102 over the 07xx and 08xx ?
PL still the same with 4gb ?
Did your retail motherboards come sealed in any way guys. I just got my p5q-deluxe, and the motherboard static bag had no tape on it (looked like it was opened before?, and the box was not taped shut either. Kinda shady since I've gotten 2 other asus boards that were both sealed in someway so I would know it wasnt opened before.
I think mine was the same way.
Mine wasn't sealed in any way either.
Luci5r what are you bios settings? And are you actually blend stable?
Got my hands on a E8400 and P5Q-Deluxe.
Which bios performs best?
And could anyone post me some settings in the form of a template for a Wolfdale E8400 and Corsair Dominator TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF (2x2GB 1066) -> 445 x 9
Hey guys, pls help me ......im testing my p5q dlx and i need to know What program can read the NB , SB, PL voltages, i know that everest is not fully reading, pc probe same song.....any idea plz!!!!!!
tnxz for all of you!!!
See ya !
Only program that can read is called YOU, via a digital multimeter, there have been tests before so plz have look a few pages back... many users confirmed these findings.... look here :
http://users.pandora.be/OAP/P5QDlx/p...eadingscl8.jpg
If the board doesn't have it foreseen, I highly doubt any software proggie reads it out... only MF II has got readouts for volts and temps on the chipsets....
Nope no PL gain, it's a mix here for the rams of 0803 and 0901... slight gains over 7 series... CPU overtemp error is gone... and my terrabyte drives work flawless now... for me it's stable 1102
Did you try to flash with any OC ? with the 8Gb in the rig ( I Would do it max with 2 dimms ) flashed straight from my USB stick no worries here... if your bios flash is corrupt something went haywire mate... to me and many others the bios is fine... maybe try to grab the bios file again... and do it from EZ flash with 2 dimms max...
Try the above settings plz... sure you need as much Vcore ? Try to lower PLL and FSB term voltage (if possible) Why don't you run 400FSB with 10 multi ? and ram at 1066 ( in case my settings wouldn't help ya to OC the ram... Gskills and Mushkins do 1081 daily with 450FSB) Also the board overvolts the ram so be carefull there you are going for 2.15Volts
Hope it will help...
Also folding at home doesn't stress as much as eg large FFT's or co... have you tried to run OCCT mix test ?
Well mine does that 3 times, like it seems to open the Cd drawer, but nothing happens... one click at boot when the Marvell adapter detects the dvd drive and twice during loading windows...
Good that you found it...I'm gonna go S-ATA DVD too
Thanks for your suggestions, Leeghoofd!
I'm going to try lower PLL and FSB termination voltage.
I believe that it will work if I don't reduce them too much.
If my memory serves me well I already tested CPU PLL at 1.52v before, without apparent problems.
Unfortunately I'm almost 100% sure that I need that vCore in order to have my CPU Prime stable at 4GHz.
Unlike your CPU , mine doesn't scale very well...
For 9.5x400 (3.8GHz) I only needed 1.35-1.362v on my previous P5K Premium, and for 10x400 (4GHz) I needed approximately 1.408 "real" vCore to have my system completely Prime stable.
FSB450 was also easily obtained, just by setting vCore, vNB and vDRAM.
The P5Q Deluxe is much harder to stabilize, but on the other hand it seems to be more responsive.
Even with the high PL settings that the P45 chipset "imposes", my system seems to be much more pleasant to use now.
From what I've read the board overvolts the RAM about 0.08v, so I'm working at 2.12v now... way too much voltage for the PSC chips, right?
I've already been successful at 2.02v (2.10v "real").
Corsair rates this memory at 2.10v so I've never considered trying it below the manufacturer's setting.
After reading your post I'm now willing to try my luck with moderate/low volts, as it seems this motherboard/chipset doesn't benefit from too much voltage.
I'll try one setting at a time so that I can be sure of what's happening.
With my actual settings (and FSB from 445 to 447 MHz max.) I've successfully passed a custom 2 hour OCCT mixed test.
The only real PITA is Prime95 Blend, that seems to show an instability that I can't find in any other application.
Thanks a lot for your help!
The next days will be spent experimenting your suggested settings.
I'll post my results soon.
Take care and have a nice weekend.
