Kin Hell...one more thing were you able to get same overclock on cpu at same , lower or higher vcore with the beta bios
I want to play with the new bios but I need my computer for work stuff for about a week...blah

Never tried it tbh... 4hours of CS:S dont crash; 3DMark01/03 dont crash.Quote:

Beta .041 Bios appears to have slightly more Bandwidth when @ 380FSB 1:1 266 Strap. I can't vouch for other settings.
Beta .041 constantly hangs to a Blank/Black screen if you hit the Bios key more than once. I'm in & out of it so often, it's why I've gone back to 12/22/06! :stick:
I had no Board Voltages increased other than PCIe @ 1.34v.Quote:

Now back at 360fsb 1:1 & this is my last post for a few days. I need a break. Loading saved Bios settings that have worked are no longer working!? I am convinced the official 12/22/06 Bios is not right. Someone mentioned earlier in here that loading settings from a crash might not work unless you reset CMOS!
I`m also seeing this, as well as desktop crashing. Even if you crash gracefully to desktop from CS:S, an apparently normal restart appears possible, but Loading saved Bios configs just DONT work!?...Unless you reset CMOS prior to loading a saved setting & presuming a saved setting isn`t corrupt to start with!? You can see this might all disapear up it's own ass!
From what I've seen with this board, i've gotten as far as 440 fsb, but not stable! Even If I drop multipliers, the faster FSB is useless for the CPU, leaving the lower Multiplier flapping around in Huge possible bandwidth and not enough data to throw into it. Running a 440fsb sounds great, I've been there, ...but adding 3+ seconds onto a 1Mb SuperPi run & loosing nearly 4000 3D01 Marks aint my idea of a performance gain.
I can keep this board up on a 360fsb 3D-wise 24-7 and I'd say she was fine 380fsb for 2D works....even copying, moving defragging accross hard drives. As soon as I put any voltages up anywhere, even using the lower multis to take the CPU out of the equation, findng true stability is like looking for hens teeth. Gunno kick back with Jack & Daniels for a few days & mooch about where to go next.
For all the hassle getting the Vapo hooked into the equation, selling the Vapo XEII would be a lump towards a faster/bigger CPU.
Meanwhile...I can hear Ice hitting glass tumblers...L8r folks & good luck! :toast:

the beta bios is really a beta bios.. :) but i'll be trying this later.. for the compatibility for my memory..
its the same for me.. when I tweak the bios and crash hard.. I will not use the CMOS reload option.. I reset the cmos.. and I use one stick for loading.. :) hehehe my memory is not that compatible with the board.. btw I use corsair 8000UL
my target is 450 x 8 ..but as some said that you lose more bandwidth when using lower multi's.. I'll test this findings also..
for now I'll be using air in cooling.. my tuniq will be delivered today.. can anyo one point me to the post on how to lap a tuniq tower?? :D
is 1T really faster?? can we have a comparison.. between RD600 mobos only.. :) hehehe
I know 266 strap is really faster.. hope DFI will fix the sync option.. maybe there is a chance in speed and bandwidth..
its really good that there is a beta bios on the works.. more options for the promise raid and ati raid.. I know that the promise raid is Fasttrak TX4310.. there should be more options..
Kin Hell nice work :woot:
metalman2785 very nice settings there.. hope some one post additional guidlines for the GTL options.. :)
raju enlighten us.. :) (just like the DFI 975x infinity days)
how exactly are you resetting CMOS..with jumpers?
yup.. with jumpers.. :)
Yes, or you can hold power and reset buttons for 5 seconds when board is in standby mode.Quote:

My last result: 345*9=3105MHz at all stock volts, except clockgen @ 3.4V, I put it just so I don't have to think about it. Memory is also on stock, will meddle with it when I'm finished with the CPU.
Here's a dual orthos 8+hrs screenshot: http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/7752/3103mhzwo9.th.jpg
Hope to see 3200 stable at stock too :D

thnx, now got on exactly same settings 3200 (356*9) 2hrs+ stable, moving on :DQuote:

I just loaded this beta bios on my mobo, and really want that I haven't done it! :mad:Quote:

Ok I cleared CMOS, but still I cant get into bios:

Is there any other chance than boot from floppy or using winflash to get back my previous version of bios! Please help!
When the Diagnostic Led wont light up, what is the problem?
Today after i pressed the power button the Diagnostic Led don`t worked :(.
RMA Time. ;)Quote:

Put a Fan on the CPU header & then fire it up. If the LEDs stay off & the CPU fan dont spin up, it'`s died on you. My second RD600 board worked fine on Air for 3 days & went back in its box. 2 Weeks after, My water cooled lash up was ready & in went the board. Same for me...No LED's & no CPU fan spin up. It's Ass was RMA'd.
Well the board does power up, but the LEDs stay off..
I will try with a fan..
I used the board ~2 weeks then i changed it with something else..
Today i received a pair of Cellshock, and i wanted to try the rams on DFIs board, but..
How are you guys RMAing your boards? Call them up? Their site is kind of unhelpful.
RMA to supplier for me. I would expect you will have to check out your Suppliers terms & conditions as they will vary.Quote:

I gave up chasing GTL for now cos I'm trying different strappings as I have picked up on using 300 or 333 for high 300+ fsb zones. More to come!.............
and the final result, 3203MHz (356*9) on stock volts! and that's dual orthos 11+hrs stable! here's a screenshot, man this chip is great :D

for 3300 I'll have to add a little bit more volts, let's see now what this baby can really do :woot:
The CPU fan spinned up, but nothing else.. :slapass:Quote:
