do you guys know, should Easy Tune 6 work with beta bios's?
So nobody can run PCIe over 105MHz...? If that is so, for me that is kind of an issue that should be looked into.
I have put together my rigg, but i cant whent in to bios, get error code 69 wich means memory i've trye one of my dominator and one A-Data mem, nothing happens still error code 69.
What could be the problem??
Thanksfull for suggestions..
Errors: (69) setupsystem managenentn mode (smm)area
All whent as good thing i could post and all is allright...
Where do i find new bios
I have run ~140MHz with same graphic cards and same RAMs on X38 and X48 boards. I have tried IDE, SATA and SATA-connected SSD-drives (both RAID and not)
So I guess It is either board or CPU?
A simple way to find out is to ask people to test, let's say 110MHz PCIe with ATI 3850, 4850, 4870 4870x2 or nVidia 9600GT on X58 eXtreme or UD5... ;)
Guys,
having real issues with a GX-EX58 Extreme setup here. Win Vista bluescreens randomly without any load saying "mupsys.dll" caused the error. Happens on a 24h linX stable / 53h prime blend stable rig which really pisses me off -.-
Now, I couldn't find much on the web about that error, and what I did find referred to some network trouble on older machines running Windows XP
Assuming it might have to do something with the onboard NICs, their driver or whatever, I disabled them and installed an Intel PCie LAN adapter. Helped for 1 day but now it's happening again :(
Happens both on the above mentioned (end extensively tested..) OC settings as well as with bios defaults. Bios is F4M, trying F5e next or maybe F4 final.
If anyone got some more ideas, shoot... I haven't seen this error before.. ever.
If you keep getting same bsod error pointing to a specific file, may be software issue...and I have learned chasing down corrupt files is nearly always futile...unless you installed a recent program and can pin point it to that. Restoring from an image takes 5 minutes, along with 2 minutes to back up my docs from last image.
i would make sure one stick of ram did not go bad first, one of mine just suddenly starting crapping out a while back, before even doing anything with memory.
I corrupted my XPsp3 benching recently, way to many hard shutdowns, etc... but took that as an opportunity to change to windows 7 64bit:D.
If you dont have an image for quick recovery, then its a tougher decision.

Just tried to run my i7 on Stock Cooler at 4Ghz, just for sake of benchmarks. LoL.
CPU V: 1.35 // QPI : 1.35 // 19x211 //
Ran Prime95 for 2 mins or so, temperature was 90C, so I stopped it. I got to wait till Monday to get my Scythe Mugen2 and test stability of it.

Well I took the plunge and bought the X58-UD5, Corsair Dominator 6GB Kit (TR3X6G1600C8D), Intel Core i7 920, EVGA 017-P3-1291-AR GeForce GTX 295 from the egg. Hopefully I get a good overclocking cpu.
I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and guess that EasyTune 6 doesn't work on Windows 7 64-bit either if it wasn't working for me on Vista x64??
In xp 32 - I can open and display settings (v's, ...) by clicking on the shortcut three times - odd I know.
I don't seem to be able to change settings but then I cleaned out my start up folder (msconfig) so that I have nothing runing in the background unless I start it myself.
I haven't tried to install in vista 64 yet.
