Congratulations on finding the fix. You did not waste our time. On the contrary, you helped to publish an obscure piece of performance/configuration data.

I have a classie at home from a fellow clocker... I'm participating in a 4ghz CPU cap compo... but darn this classified seems very inefficient...
Running 4ghz with rams at 2200mhz C7-8-7-20 1T, uncore at 4400Mhz, B2B at 3 and tweaked the RTL's and still only getting 10secs 200 superpi... while the others are close of breaching 10secs...
Is there also a way to put the Bclock at even levels and not 0.5 lower ? I want 200Bclock or 210, not 199.5 or 209.5ish
Maybe these are nOOb questions and answered already a zillion times, but I don't have time to wade trough the thread as I need to give the board back and time is very limited...
Thx for any performance tips...
What OS config are you using? Most heavy PI hitters use a stripped down (nlited) version of XP.
I have the same BCLK issue. Don't know how to get around it. I have been told that the bug is on the sensor read side (CPUz). I have no way to validate this hypothesis..
Go luck with the challenge.
EDIT:I ran a quick test with Win 7 Pro / Diag Boot - No other OS Tweaks

This 10.156 run is with much more conservative memory & uncore settings than you are running. I did not have the time to tweak...
I strongly suspect that the classified should be able to get closer to 10 with a cut down XP & work on the uncore & memory.
Thx for the run raptor-X, I think the issue is the lack of triple channel on this board, dimm slot 1 sometimes acts up and the rig doesn't post. Could you remove the first ram dimm and try again... Tried on a stripped XP, 2003 and Vista... thx for any update...
Dual Channel Run Follows per your request. It is surprising to me that dual channel does not appear to play a role in this issue.

The Following 10.140 run is getting close to my limits within WIN 7 on the Classified.

Can you provide insight into how much efficiency would be gained by a stripped down XP, with all other variables remaining the same?
Same OS on MSI eclipse : 10.057 sec for pi on XP lite (not yet tweaked) same settings as you... Pifast going sub 21secs
last bios 44 is better than S61J?
Damn it , I have the worst D0 ever !!!
My 950 would not go beyond 4.235 at all, I kept rasing the voltage up to 1.47 at 4.3 with no luck at all, my old 920 could do 4.4xx with less voltage than that ! Mother f@%^#%
Even thogh the mobo would not POST with Bclkc higher than 213 !!!
And the CPU could o 4.2 only when Bclk is lower than 200 !! :shakes:
I'm its been asked a million times already but what are the differences between the E760 and E762? If I have dual 295's does it even matter?
The E762 has two NF200 chips so it can run true 4 way x16 SLI. The E760 can only run full 2 way x16 SLI or x16/x8/x8 for 3 way SLI. So unless you are planning to go 4 way SLI, go with the E760, as it has a smaller form factor, is less expensive, and the x8 lanes really won't make a difference in a 3 way SLI config.
And with 2x GTX295 you get both the cards at their full 16x speed, so the 760 is the best deal indeed, and yes H20 is right as well :)
So for 3Dmark benching you would go classy over giga ?
Sorry for slightly off topic guys but this looks like the closest place to ask - I was looking at an e758 or a UD3R for a w3520 wc build, which would you reckon is better ? Im only going to run a single gpu so Im not fussed about lots of pcies, I just want the best benchable clocks. What do you think ?
Damn the e758 in usa is only $269-299 direct with cash back too, the cheapest one here in Aus is au$659 !!! ffs someone is making good money there ...
On topic - whats the diff between e758 and classy ? The e760 is au$869 here ....
Edit: classy has 10 phase power and some other quality improvements ... would it clock much better than an e758 ?
Thanks guys for saving me $100
I was able to get the Classified down to 10.124 with WIN 7. Then I decided to give XP a try based on your data point.

10.078 with service trimming. I am not well versed with XP & remain unclear of how much remains. I will hit it again this weekend.
Yeah I had E760 and it died because of the crappy PSU , now I have E762 and all I can say is that this is a huge board and very hot with these 2xNF200. I was more happy with my E760 and its normal size.
LOL man I thought the price is big here in Bulgaria ~600$ for E760, but 870 .
What makes these classified boards so much better than this EVGA X58 3-Way SLI I already have? 10 phase digital PWM,i s that it? Does it even make that much of a difference overclocking a cpu I know it gives "cleaner power" but come on.
