chipset cooling ?Quote:

I have pretty good airflow over the chipset with two 120x38mm Sanyo Denki's sitting right in front of the board. I also thought that if I tried say 11x327 instead of 10x360 that it would place less strain on the chipset and rule that out as the culprit. Am I correct in that thinking?Quote:

Mem Ref 266 and mem freq 533 plus desired voltage etc (I have 800 mhz memory) Restart the system and then change the fsb.Quote:

Did one fresh install and one upgrade from XP Pro...
The Intel RAID, Intel Chipset, Intel Lan and Sigmatel Audio drivers from Vista all work with the following notes... The Intel Matrix Storage manager won't work because the Vista driver is newer than the Intel supplied one (no big deal). The Audio driver will have problems on upgrade if you don't completely wipe out the Intel supplied driver before the upgrade. Before you uninstall it, get the driver details, then make sure there are no traces left of those files after the unistall.
The Marvell isn't supported yet natively but the drivers supplied by Intel (including the Marvell console) work fine.
IDCC won't install even in compatability mode.
IDU is OK.
TAT is OK.
I read the first 10 pages and the last 7 pages.
So this board does not allow for multiplier adjustment.
Are there any programs that can be used to change fsb in windows?
Clockgen possibly? if so, which pll?
It's all fine now with 2507:Quote:

I turned the following off; Watchdog, C1E, EIST and VT. Watchdog and C1E may be accesssed by moving the jumper and entering the BIOS then.
Great!
I could overclock a bit more (3.6mhz) but my temps were getting higher then 63C in Orthos with full load. Am unsure if that's to high so I'm sticking to 3,2 Mhz
Not yet on Clockgen. The Intel Desktop Control Center will though.Quote:

no matter what i cannot get past bios at any overclocking ..
it always brings me to a screen that says
something about the POST having problems
press Y to enter bios or press N to try and boot with previous settings ??
no matter what i cant get past that screen
someone needs to write a guide :)Quote:

I have been digging around some of the documentation that I downloaded and all I can find is this:Quote:

weird. i was stuck at 3.0 ghz.
after i turned off watchdog, i'm now at 3.7
can someone help me out real quick? i've been looking for that Intel sheet that has the BIOS post codes on it ("BA" "00" etc) and I can't find it. If anyone knows where it is, could you please post the link?
Thanks

This board should hold me over nicely until I'm forced to change chipsets again... <sigh> *I HATE INTEL ONLY WHEN THEY FORCE ME TO CHANGE CHIPSETS*

At the moment, this is the best price. The next cheapest is tigerdirect for $199.Quote:

get it to run stock, flash 2507 from 2333
Watch dog at every clock
disable watch dog, stock doesn't post
post stock with 1 stick of memory and get 3.6 working again
4ghz doesn't post at all
The ability to have this board POST is just awful. It NEEDS clockgen. I love the board, it's fast, it's stable, but pushing an OC on it is a nightmare and I'm on the verge of selling it for a commando :(
keep this board mate ;)Quote:

Now my old 3dmark stable clock of 3946mhz freezes idling windows. Did my CPU degrade? Wtf? My old 6600 did the same thing, 3700 ran fine 24/7 for 2 weeks then only 3600 worked.
