I'm sorry ladies and gents, but the size of quiet a few of these CPU coolers, to me any way, look totally ??????? Guess this comes from building primarily mATX systems as some of the HSFs look almost as big as my boxes!
Also it appears most of the giants are in intel systems.....do they run that hot when overclocked??
Then again Mr or Ms MOD move this to a correct thread if necessay. ;)
@Jedihobbit:Most people probably have Intels because they are/were slightly faster. (Even if they were more expensive) Also, the fact that a lot of people also overclock their cpu helps too. :D
btw, aren't you also active on the Zalman forums?
Nice seeing you here haven't seen you over at zalman for a while...you going to drop by again?? :D
I tend to be all over the place as I usually am in a hurry for answers and help so spread out my screams of insanity!!:yepp::ROTF:
@poparamiro
nice shot and cool collection :)
^ Just needs one of these: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=24571
That is a hell of a lot of melted pennies!!
thanks ScottaLot
but i rather want this one
http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products.../ninja-cu.html
but i cannot find it anywhere
Haven't seen too many tower coolers in copper....awsome!
Shipping sucks! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=263602_263622
Same Guy but refurb (hasven;t had issues with Zalman refurbs) http://www.aerocooler.com/shop.cart?...d_id=FANSCNJCU
Just noticed your link was Germany? So don't know if this'll help.
scythe copper is going to hard to find since it is discontinued. Other copper cpus you might want to check out are ZEROtherm BTF95 or Thermaltake V1.
Since that you have there is a ASUS FX 790 (I think), the AM2 mounting will be your biggest pain. Wide tower coolers such as Copper True will only work if mounted in a horizontal position and it may obstruct with those built in ramsinks on the sides
correct that's why i'd choose scythe over thermalright
also with all the additional weight, adding the ninja would be better
@jedi,thanks for the links. I will take a look
Good to all, write from Tenerife (Spain) in this great forum, which I followed for a long time, many of your post have helped me in many things, and is a pleasure to be here. have some photos from my pc.

thanks for the answers, but what a shame with what I like my stickers but good.
I have ordered a Twelve Hundred, quiet you do not put any sticker xD.
Hey, this is my first post in this forum. I found it
a few days ago and I like it very much. I'm sorry for
the bad quality of the pics. Could you give me any advice
how I can improve the cable management. The case is a
Thermaltake Kandalf of 2005, the first one. :D
:welcome:
I'm sorry to say that, but you should change your case, if you want to have some better cable-managment.. If not, try to sleeve all your cables in the same color(maybe black), buy S-ATA/IDE cables in the same color and it will look much better. ;)
^ Nice TRUE Copper!
When I had the Kandalf case I dremelled two holes in the motherboard tray which worked a treat. Only problem with it was that I bought the black one which weighed a tonne wheras yours is mainly aluminium
I'm sorry to say that, but you should change your opinion about this case because it is easily moddable. No pun intended, bro.
Here is my Kandalf with my previous 4890 cards (Those two pci-e power cables are visible because i was too lazy to hide them when i took the photo)
I will take pics of the current setup later when i finish work:
http://www.shrani.si/f/y/Ld/3thTmVLT/dsc02372.jpg
Not to forget, that there are a lot of people out there haven't any experience with modding a tower, or in the worst case they will not even have any tools to do that.
To be honest, i do not really like the Kandalf. But sure you are right with the fact, taht modding will get it a lot better for cable managment. Did that to all my cases in the past! :)

My third pc a long time ago.
Thanks for all your answers. I think I will make two holes in the Kandalf to hide the cables. Thank you for your advices !!!:yepp:
Or in the other case they haven't enough time to mod a tower.Quote:

So with all the update,s heres a recent pic...
Basically got the frame powder coated along with the rear side panel...didnt come out too well, but it will do for now. It has a few blemishes here and there, but mainly on the rear side panel. some updated hardware as well and my new rams and PSU.

You just cannot imagine how easy it is to work with flat ribbon cables compared to the fat ones. This PSU is just awesome, quiet and takes a good amount of load.
@ gatecrasherlok
To make a hole in the motherboard tray was a good advice. Thanks.
Flat ribbon cables?
^ from the psu I think he means.
So, the PSU comes with flat ribbon cables. Very cool. Maybe my next PSU.
hello, there do you think of my box after having painted.

This week I changed my case. The case before the new one was a Kandalf, now I've got a Xaser VI BNS. The only problem was that I thought it would be a little bit smaller, it weighs with all pc components installed 25 kilo.
wow those cut up heatpipes show a lot! whats the differenc?? is one old and one new?? or is it one side of the heatpipe and the other??
very nice illidan,I love the black on the block:D,but tell me, what paint have you used?
It's an anti-scratch painting or simply a normal painting?
http://lackgeneration.de/Rallye-Spra...z-Matt-400ml_1
best from all spray paints i have ever used
I don't see a lot of Zalmans these days. Did they die or people prefer thermalright, etc.
Zalman fell out of favor quite awhile ago. They haven't made anything that truly stands out and are pricey for the performance compared to others. Their GPU coolers are somewhat competitive in the small aftermarket of video card coolers.

@Earzz, agreed it is nicely done. Wish more cases were available with the "inverted" mobo tray as when one spends time and money on nice GPU cooler(s) it sucks to have them hidden!
My air cooling rig.
Sorry the mess...
DATEBOOK..........
Item 1. Vaccum/blow out computer
Item 2. Work on wire management
Date: ASAP
You have a case that has a lot of potential with its annual dusting required! ;)
Just don't ask me to show mine! :ROTF:
Like the way you've rearranged things, just makes it look so "empty" in the bottom! What are you using it for?
Sorry dudes.
I'll post best pictures tomorrow ^^.

It looks really good at the bottom half. Much better than when i first did my rig. PCP&C non-modular... wow tough. looking forward to see how you improve it.
Strange fan config. With the Noctua in front you get less intake airflow. You get great exhaust with that fan in the rear. Negative Pressure so you get the dust. But the additional fan on top should make it okay except that its cooling down 3 hot raptors.
No System Views yet....everthing is torn up!! However one of my new goodies.....Zalman VF3000N (nvidia version) and then shown mounted to my XFX GTX285.;)
