I made a post above if anyone can help please?
But to update with all C States other than the Package C State Limit (C6) are DISABLED.
And in Probe II I'm seeing 1.627V for Dram voltage :|
Anyone help - maybe Mushkin ram just does not need 1.65V?

Attachment 120798Hi,
I have to say I'm not confident with a dmm which is why I want to get clarification and know I'm going to do this right.
Q1: So I turn the dial to the area marked on the picture and connect the probes to the ones shown in red and black representing the red and black leads.
Q2: Then once I have connected the motherboard probe cable I test it by connecting in no particulate order the red and black cable to the cable ends?
Q3: And I can take the reading at any time or during boot up etc?
thanks
Hi guys!
I changed my UD4 with MIVE and i bought a new 2500K because my previous is dead (my previous was a X55 on UD4)
After a lot of tries i didn't make to boot in to windows desktop with more than X50 multi...
When i try to boot with more than X50 the system freezes at windows logo and the debug led shows AA..is there any chance to boot in the desktop or is a wall?
Thanks!
Sounds like a bad chip mate!

Fix list basics are:
1) S3 resume with CPU PLL OV Enabled is patched - should work on most DRAM (cheaper ICs may have issues).
2) Ivy Bridge Support enabled.
bios 2001 is ok ;)

Yes! MIVE is a great motherboard..
I enable INTERNAL PLL but nothing happens, exactly the same thing...with more than X50 the system freezes at windows logo and the debug led shows AA..
the only thing that i noticed with INTERNAL PLL enable is that the system is more stable at high frequencies...
Maybe is a bad chip... after 10 cpus this is the worst (the best was a x55 )
Yea, sounds like you hit your mutli wall if you have Internal PLL enabled.
Hi guys,
My system currently has a P8P67 Pro with the defective sata ports. I didn't get around to replacing it until last week when I emailed Asus and asked if I can upgrade while I do the replacement. Asus agreed to upgrade my board to the Maximus IV Extreme ( chose that over the Z68 as I do not need the functions of the Z68 ). Now I'm wondering which drivers do I need to install? I am already planning to cancel out the Bluetooth and was wondering if there's anything else I can cut back on? Saw the posts above and will be flashing to the 2001 bios as well.
u can use your actual install no problems at all
or
u can do a fresh install and put
latest chipset drivers from intel
MEI interface
intel SSD latest drivers
u can find all here

Hello folks :)
Just updated to 2001. Seems ok so far.
A few Q's for anyone who will kindly help :)
Q1: For a 2600k 4.8 OC what 'VRM Fixed Frequency Mode" is best to use?
Q2: Until I load the 'Extreme OC Profile'. There is nothing under 'Turbo Mode' with 'Maximum Power' ENABLED.
But with 'Extreme OC Profile' loaded there is a 1023.875 value in the 'CPU Core Current Limit'.
Should this be different for a 4.8Mhz OC? or just enabled and left on AUTO?
Thanks :)
bios 2001 is looking pretty good
all of this was directly booted from the bios, no aisuiteII this time, vanilla XP Pro with appropriate tweaks and no wazza yet

I am having trouble submitting my spi score on hwbot, I keep getting an error but only when I try to submit my 1M result:shrug:
also worth mentioning that I was able to boot 108 bclk directly in to Windows with this bios, without touching any skews, curious to try 3DMark2001 on it
test whit x56 it can read win7 in, but it freezes at x57 on the desktop

may well be a one bios sets I have not been put Regt
What does the code 71 on the motherboard, because I have no pictures on the monitor?

believe it is your mem, test them one at a time, in all your slots
i don't like bios 2001, or maybe it's just my chip :(
blck clocking is more sporadic than it was on 1850... on 1850 when you reach max blck it was rock solid... you can turn it off and it will still be there.
on 2001.. skews behaved unpredictably... i tried booting 106.1 which was doable on my chip... it wouldn't, got frustrated, turned off computer for a few hours and bam.. booted to 106.1
http://hwbot.org/submission/2212611_
then i turn it off again... now it failed to overclock, and tried booting with 106.1 and it doesn't want to do it again
it feels like i'm on gigabyte again :shakes:
