@Linuxfan: I love your new sig image!
Improved my GTX 280 05 and 06 scores barely...
Trying to work with the R2E board... I miss my UD7... :(
It'll go through the RMA and get back within two weeks anyway...
Going to take a break then try to get my 5870 scores beaten... we'll see how it comes together though...
Thanks Don_Dan, just trying to make a nice sig and that picture was cool...
Nice run with an AMD CPU on LN2 MTP-04! Looks like those scores can be improved even more with some GPU clock speed... :yepp:
We're about to make #10.
Great drive guys
Guys aren't off the hook yet :p:
Another round posted with a diff vga and another vga in the rig.
Thanks Linuxfan and Don_Dan.
Its fun benching AMD again:D The scores I submitted today can definitely be improved on, I was just getting a feel for what the cpu can do and using 05/06 as a test. More will come later on.
Also well done chew*, your uploads gave us a serious boost.
my stuff is on the way back from Vegas - and I will hopefully land this job soon so I will be in better form than ever soon :)
Edit - I expect to be able to crack top 100 and 500points soon :) but will take time, effort, planning, and support, and some skill refinement
Edit - I like being underestimated :p:
Edit - going to get livestream fixed up in my garage and have 3 MS HD cams for it - now to find a good play list and get speakers, receiver and tv in garage lol :)

Pin17 is FB, so FB to GND will work untill OVP kicks in (probably around 1.5V). Best way to mod is to work with the VID table as it works around the OVP. But that will really make your card un-sellable :D
They are for sale and inflatable whenever you need them; linked here
I think we will break top 10 today. ;)
Definitely. :p:
Actually nothing came today but I expect some stuff soon.....
Talked to Vista and he's going to put up some 8800gt runs so we'll come really close....
Keep cool! :)
OT: it's snowed hard today in Alabama... We haven't had this much since over 10 years ago!
Sounds like everyone on your island is getting snow these days.
i was waiting for a 20k VR for my 4870 and massman's post convince me to try it with a 10k, only problem is i forgot to read stock volts, anyway i just passed 925mhz on gpu, 950 failed tho @ 1.44vcore(stock res is 1k)
The 1st card just arrived.... :hehe:
8800 GTS 320MB is ready to bench! I'll try to fit it in tonight. :D
Edit: looks like it'll be good for about 80 points on air and 110 when I get the waterblock in...
Edit2: Just snabbed an 8800 GT... ;)
Trying to find an 8800 GTX for 110 shipped or less now...
Edit3: For fun I decided to run a new MSI X58M motherboard... turns out the 2nd ram slot isn't working... Ran all of the tests with dual channel and got horrible results...
I'll stick it back on the R2E hopefully tomorrow and get real scores.
Think i'm comfortable enough with this rig to toss some ln2 on this chip now ;)

Prepped another AMD board while I was at it to replace a dead one.

Getting ready to toss p55 on the bench, verify it's a good board then coldbug mod and then water proofing :)
While i got toxic fumage going on I might as well prep a 4890 for cold to :D
Sounds great chew*! You're on fire now! :D
I want to see some nice 240bclk 920 2d scores from you when you get a chance... ;)
Yah not sure if jiga has 240 in it but 235 I know is
P55 mod a sucess on paper at least see how it fares with cold.
My soldering skills are certainly rusty but it's done.

Massman, values are a tad confusing at least compared to my ref 4850.....but this is what i came up with.
Looks like that resistor/cap is easier to grab the mod at.
I followed trace on pcb.
If that correct it looks like I need a 75k VR, reccomendations on "turns"?
http://chew.ln2cooling.com/4850%20mod%3F/voltmod.jpg
I'd get a 100k vr (easier to obtain). You'll have to measure the voltage as you turn the VR as different types have different number of full revolutions from 0 to max. Besides, at your desired voltage levels you will be adjusting by a few degrees rotation, not full turns, due to log scale on the VRs.
