Fry's= 370+10%~ Tax = 407$~+...whenever they get them.

So 420$+(No tax)+20$= 440$, I can live with that.

Plus, Fry's isn't so close, and I bought some other stuff I needed and the shipping stayed the same, so meh.

Just called Steve at microcenter, same guy who I placed the phone order with yesterday around 5pm EST and he told me that the orders are being filled in the order which they are received and it is still showing good availibility for the E6600. Dono if he really checked much, but I pray I don't wait 2 more days and find out that my order will be delayed :rolleyes:

well i may have a nice surprise for me, supposedly my GM @ CompUSA can order one for me from a distributor and have it next dayed on the companies tab... we'll see if thats true and i may have found something locally... for the motherboard...

e6600 are still instock @ my local microcenter...

You know I was thinking the same thing...

But with the such high anticipation and projected high sales of the processor, intel isnt stupid, im sure they're making money hand over fist.

Newegg has an ETA for e6600 as 8/14/2006 now.....and yea I would be interested in that ebay link, what made you go for the p5B instead?

Hey! Steve is the same guy I've been dealing with! I think they work him too hard lol.

That board seems to be clocking better with the Allendale chips than the P5W DH - however, you guys are the pro's, so don't let me make a stupid decision here! I have the E6300 and 2 gigs of the Team Group 3-3-3-8 667 Mhz RAM. I have read these forums until my eyes are hurting...

Also using TT Big Typhoon and 7600GT (for now...)...

I recieved a email notification that my monarch computer order of a combo p5w + e6700 is delayed until 8/21, this was ordered probably among the 1st few on 7/27.

Their website currently shows that they are backordered until 8/31

I went ahead and pre ordered a retail e6600 from buy.com, $339 with free freight & no tax for me.

I figure its going to be a waiting game of some sort regardless and its probably about as good a price as any for the time being.

Just gave microcenter a call to make sure they can fulfill my order and according to them they have enough e6600's in transit to fulfill all existing orders. If you want an e6600 this week, I think they're probably you're only option at this point (and overnight is only 12 dollars).

For Microcenter, I am getting more and more dissapointed and getting my hopes down.

Also called mwave.com again she said they have 10 E6600's backordered and "should get 20 on Thursday" at $429.99, but I would take that for a grain of salt, they already missed my last order on the E6600.

Ugh, the E6300 is looking more and more attractive.

Yeah I just called also and they said they have some "in the warehouse" however they do not know how many they have.

They also stated that all backorders would be filled first and the left overs would go out. I didn't order...
